Updating name in pakistan engineering council (PEC)

Recently, I changed my name in CNIC to match with the name on O Level, A Level and BE Mechanical Degree.
I changed my name because HEC would not do attestation on my degree.
Now my PEC card is printed with the old name on it. And I am trying to reach out PEC using phone numbers given on their website but no one is picking it up.
I have reached out to PEC regional office Peshawar. They said that I have to type an application and attatch photostats of all my educational documents along with CNIC and send it via post office to PEC head office Islamabad and pay Rs. 1000 to print another PEC registration certificate with corrected name, which will be used to print PEC card.
Now I dont know if this is the correct procedure or not, because i may pay the fee and send it to them and not even get a reply.

Bro if this information has been given to you by PEC regional offices' Official, the information may be correct.
Else if, I would suggest you to personally visit PEC HQs, Islamabad. Do take all the documents, their copies, application and other stuff with you. And hopefully, your issue will be resolved I.A.
