Upgrading Sound System

So i bought 14 City Aspire and despite having 4 speakers the sound quality is not really up to the mark.

What options do I have here within the budget of 50k? Should i first try replacing the old speakers... Otherwise if you guys know a reliable sound guy in Lahore please share details.

Hay Sarmad, there are a few places in lahore where you can buy your equipment from. But it comes down to what you would be willing to change. If you're running a the factory headunit (or a chinese android panel), you might want to upgrade to something like a pioneer/sony/kenwood double din. Reason being that the output from the source matters a lot.

Secondly, you can upgrade the front and rear speakers. If budget allows, you can get a good pair of RECOIL components + coaxials for 30-35k (combo). These aint gonna be used and not some crappy local/chinese speakers

Bump up your budget and you can get the nakamichi cs1721 components with the recoil coaxials but would be around 45k. Issue is, for the nakamichi, a amp would be a good idea

The Recoil speakers I mentioned, you can run those off directly from the upgraded headunit ( they will still sound great with a factory unit or a android panel ) and you won't even need an external amp. If you can bump up your budget to 100k, you can have a brilliant setup which you won't ever feel like upgrading from

Need your guidance. Can nakamichi 5230 or 5260 android player with JBL component speakers be a good budget setup? I am not an audiophile

From personal experience, yes the nakamichi are probably one of the best sounding android players out there however, it';; still not match up to a branded headunit. In that case, you want your set of speakers/components that have lower rms values and higher sensitivity allowing them to be played louder and cleaner with less power. Here it comes down to what kind of JBL components are you talking about? The stage 2 604c? The gx series? gto series?

You also need to be aware of knockoff jbls. The Recoil RLM65 are a perfect match since we tested them on a nakamichi 5510 against the jbl stage 2 604c (jbl's entry comps rated at almost the same rms value). No external amplification, the recoils sounded cleaner and got louder. silk dome tweeter meant the vocals were not getting shrilled out even at higher volumes

On the other hand, the jbl's were great but just not matching up to the recoils on stock headunit power from the nakamichi. Mind you, when we ran both sets off a Pioneer 4704, the jbls had a slight edge in loudness due to its balanced dome tweeter compared to the silk dome on the recoils. But smoothness still came out of the recoils and the midbass was still that bit more on the recoils too

Comparing apples to apples, the recoil is the better speaker to buy. Even if you're not an audiophile, better music is something we all love.

If im not wrong, the 5230 2/32 costs about 23-25k

I do have the 5510 4/64, almost new with everything too if thats of interest.

as for the recoils, the rlm65 are for around 16-17k. The coaxials of the same version are for 13k

around 40k is what youre looking at
