URGENT - Family trip from Karachi to Sukkur during Moharrram holidays

My family (about 20 person including women and children) are planning to travel from Karachi to Sukkur for 3 days picnic. The intend to travel in a private Hiace/Coaster.

My questions are as follows
1. Is it safe to travel this way
2. They plan to travel today at 6:00pm in evening. Though i raised objection that traveling in the evening is not at all safe throughout Sindh, but they say that its not safe in private car, but if you are traveling in a Big Hiace/Coaster it should be ok
3. If we travel tomorrow morning ie 9th Moharram and start our journey at 8:00am so that we reach Sukkur with a couple of stops before Maghrib, would it be safe as it is Moharram

Please suggest on URGENT basis

Travelling during morning is perfectly safe.

It is perfectly safe in muharam, you may only face some muharram processions in Ranipur because you have to cross it (There is no by pass). CNG is open in muharram holidays.

Its not an issue if everything goes peaceful but if anything bad happens tomorrow (God forbids) then being on highway is a big threat.

its perfectly alright going by hiace or coaster either in evening or morning. as far as any concern on law and order situation, it can happen any time any where!

Picnic in Sukkur for 3 days ??? what to do there bro? sorry for off topic question .......Highways are safe in my opinion, preferably in day time.

I think, Non-stop Sukkur is 6-7 hours drive..... so, I suggest u to leave Karachi early morning around 6am, take Tea/Nashta break at Hyderabad around @8.30am then go ahead to Sukkur, if u take some 2-3 short stays of 20-25 minutes, most probably u will be in Sukkur @3pm around

AOA, This is my first post although enjoying this forum since long.
I think its safe and perfect to utlize your holidays. Even you can spend one day in Moen Jo Daro
I went on sme trip in 2011 on my Corolla GLi 2010 when my family was hounted of road trips but after travelling whole family enjoyed a lot even in the heat of JUNE.
After that my family was so tuned that we had Karachi-Lahore-Murree-Natiagali and back Karachi on same vehicle in 2012 and this Year we went till Naran using same ride.
So go ahead and have a safe journey.
