toyota 1G-FE important bolts torque spec
cyl head bolts (apply very very light coating of oil to bolts) - blow out debris n dirt from bolt holes in block.
stage 1 - 36 lb/ft
stage 2 - 90 degrees
sequence - centre outwards (meaning start from centre 2 bolts of cylinder head and work in cross pattern outwards)
verification - use a tip of blanco to mark the bolt position at 36 lb/ft - this mark should rotate 90 degrees to verify bolts are correctly torqued down.
cam cap bolts - 11 lb/ft.
main cam pulley bolt (new required - 25 lb/ft + 90 degrees) its also a TTY bolt.
intake manifold - 20 lb/ft (centre outwards - finish by checking torque on 1st again)
exhaust manifold - 30 lb/ft (centre outwards - use new nuts as these are locking type)
mains - 43 lb/ft - in 3 passes (centre outwards)
big ends - 36 lb/ft - in 2 passes
all other bolts seen on the engine are subject to the generic toyota torque spec as capsat posted again.
