Urgent help need for trip to gilgit, hunza khubjarab

hello guys,
im planning a trip to gilgit and hunza with wife and my daughter 13 month, have travelled upto naran in past.
my trips layout is
1- khi to pindi via train
2- pindi to nathia gali,rest house at nathia

then im planning to take any private car from nathia on te way. perfreered corolla
have any one contact for rented corolla in reasonble rates .with or with fuel.
also guide for fuel expenses lum sum and per day chargea for car.

im planning to travel on my
1st day early exit from nathia to naran
stay at naran
2nd say naran to chillas if ok will reach gilgit same day or if goes hectic then stay at chillas
chillas stay
then chilas to gilgit
stay at gilgit
next day gilgit sight seeing
then gilgit to hunza same evening stay at hunza
further u guys can help me to explore hunza on car as well as rentes jeep i can afford moderate 4x4 travel 2-3 hour max
can i discover astore,deosai, rama with 13 month little kid?

kindly suggest gud and reasonable hotel in gilgit n hunza n onwards,
kindly share any private car operator contacts or any past experience.

In my opinion you can start the tour by taking flight to rwp and skip nathia gali as it is not much worthy pace as compared to hunza you take early morning flight and hire a taxi at peer wadhai bus stand. Then go to naran on first day.
Second day you go to gilgit. There is nothing much to explore in gilgit so third day go to sost and stay there. On way you can see Rakaposhi viewpoint, atabad lake, passu cones, hussaini bridge, borith lake etc next day go to khunjrab pass and return to Karimabad or Aliabad and stay there. Fourth day see baltit altit fort, duiker and return to gilgit but be aware Karimabad places are overrated. Hunza people have created their fantasy on internet but in actual they are not much attractive it is likely that you won't enjoy there. Fifth day you may go to astore, naltar valley, ghizer valley or return to Nathan. Most places in Hunza can be explored on car so no need to hire jeep. You can take your daughter to deosai, rama astore, khunjrab etc. Just be careful dress her according to weather at cold places like babusar top or khunjrab keep her inside car. Also keep medicines like Panadol, brufen, gravinate etc. for the child after consulting doctor. In some places it's hard to find medicines.
There are a lot of hotel in gilgit, Karimabad and sost so you can find reasonable upon searching moreover it's off season so you will get reasonable prices. GB people don't negotiate much so whatever they say is almost final so don't waste much effort on bargaining. You may also try ptdc motels which is located in all three places and there service is also good.

Off Road drive on very rough terrain along with sudden change of Climate (South to North) is not recommended for a 13 month old infant . I hope you are going for peace of mind and explore natural beauty. Though Highways and indoors will not be a problem. Rest you know how much care u can take and how much risk you want to take.

You haven't mentioned that on which dates you are willing to travel. If you are willing to travel in coming month so be careful as the climate can be changed anytime.

Try not to stay in Chillas as it is not that safe for the families.

There is nothing to see in Gilgit so no need to reserve one day for Gilgit sight seeing. Instead of Gilgit sight seeing, you should visit Naltar Valley. Your private car can go till Naltar Valley, afterwards book a jeep and go to Satrangi Lake.

There is no issue to visit Rama or Deosai. But as I told you the issue is the climate. These months are not good to visit these places specially with the family.

One more thing about Rama, make sure that when you hire the jeep so it is the old model of jeep like the jeeps which go to Saif Ul Mulook and Siri Paya. Because those are the only jeeps which can take you to the exact Rama Lake. Where as Prado and other 4 wheelers will take you till base camp only and from there you have to track almost 1 to 2 hour towards the Rama lake.

Taking kids up to age of three to hilly area is not an issue they usually sleep in the car. Keep in mind do not go near water or do boating/ rafting. Dress the child according to weather like at babusar top temperature is close to zero and two hours later at chilas it's close to 40. While off roading hold the child in lap to avoid jerks. I think we should take the children to northern area it's natural environment is good for their health.

Naltar valley is a good option to visit. I guess the car driver will not take beyond nomal, naltar valley track is totally off road. But the valley and it's lake are worth visiting.

I have been to rama lake last month all jeeps in this part of season goes up to lake as glaciers on the way have been melted. However due to lighter weight it's recommended to go on open jeep.
