Urgent laptop query

Hello everyone I am on a hunt for a used laptop but the prices in the market are too high for used machines CORE I7 6th generation with graphic card etc. So I thought to check dell shop online, I am getting very good deals in refurbished certified and also scratch and dent. Please help me in choosing I am looking currently at precision series and lattitude I want to get a laptop under 1 lac 20 thousand. Please also share good sites.

Sir, I am based in Peshawar checked markets here but did not get anything good. I am also on a hunt for core i7 relatively new generations with a dedicated graphics card. Please help what to do? Also, someone in the family is coming from the USA, do you have any idea about dell's official store refurb machines?
Please do give me an idea about rwp and isb markets too. The prices have skyrocketed

Generally speaking a laptop with 8th Gen Core i7 (Quad Core), 8GB Memory, 256GB SSD, a GPU, 15" LCD and a chassis in almost great condition (no shiny keys/ trackpad, no dents/dings/scuffs or major scratches, no wobbly LCD screen, no loose hinges would set you back from 85k and upwards.

Stay away from refurbished laptops. They are going to disappoint you, I have used multiple from USA, they all develop serious problems and die within a year or so. Black Friday is happening, then cyber Monday, you will see HEAVY discounts in USA. IF your relative is coming, ask them to bring laptop for you (make sure to get bundle with windows license included its valid for lifetime). For the spec you mentioned esp. graphics, choose LENOVO. Google Lenovo outlet/clearance you will see their special website selling lower priced products. Graphic cards do NOT do well on entry level dell/hp (speaking from personal experience - again). So go to LENOVO or if you are dead set on dell then go to XPS series.

Just to share the idea of prices.

Recently got hP probook g450 i7 10th gen, 8 gb ram, 250 ssd, 15.6 inch, 1080p display, metal body and intel graphics for 120k. new.

It was a hard pill to swallow but that is one of the harsh realities of life in Pakistan (buying a thing that costed around Rs.70 - 80 Rs.k a year earlier)

One main issue with lenovo systems is that the ram is soldered not sure what to do about that. As it nullifies the chances of upgradging your system time to time

There is nothing wrong with Dell Factory Refurb machines as long as they are truly Refurbished. Not what people claim over here. And yes, if one could, it is better to get the laptop of choice from abroad.

Brother, if the laptop is going to be your source of income, and this is the beginning, I suggest following options:
1. Get one from abroad and your friend/family members could bring it along.
2. Buy locally in used to kick off and then buy a better one when you have enough to upgrade.

Gul Haji Plaza and surrounding University Road IMHO is no more a place to buy a laptop. I've stopped going to that place. Dubai Plaza/Area in Rawalpindi is still better. Have no idea of Lahore.

That's because I am from a village in its immediate surroundings. Have been going to Gul Haji ever since it got created. Unfortunately, the business there has depreciated as far as customer support and fairness is concerned. Then there are monopolies of a few vendors who will demand their own prices based upon that monopoly and not competition.

Lahore, Hafeez center burned down. Since then it is sealed. Some few traders standing on sides selling from car trunk. Few shops moved to adjacent plaza. Products pricing increased sky high. Buyers disappeared. Hall road is the only option now.

Oh that is something astonishing to know, I have enjoyed your posts and threads previously never knew you are from Peshawar too MashaAllah. Yes it is still IT related stuff hub but sadly no more a good place to get one's needs catered. True
