URGENT: Vigo or Tundra for daily ride?

Well, not literally a vs thread. But I am torn between the two for daily use. Budget is 3.5 mi max. Which one for daily ride and why? Please suggest between these two only. I can get a 2012-13 indus vigo or 2007 tundra 4x2 crewmax within this budget. Some advice against tundra due to size. I like the size and the ride over vigo any given day. I repeat, it will be a daily ride. Mainly home to office n back. Outings twice a week including weekend. Family vacation all Pakistan tour once a year.

It might just be your preference but neither is supposed to be a daily runner

Size can cause problems but it depends which place and roads you are gonna use it. Then comes maintenance, if you can keep tundra then good to go

Bro i dont own any of if. I was talking generally since its a big suv and 7 year old model so you have to consider that aspect too. Rest wait for more members to reply

Go for vigo! It's cheaper to maintain and keep. Tundra's size would be an issue, especially in Karachi. Also, maintainance cost would be high. Although, you should try looking for a Thai Vigo.

Tundra would be a left hand drive and would be a pain in *** to drive on our roads.

vigo 2.5-----2kd with manual transmission is very practical for daily use
my friend takes it out for every little market work even. very fuel efficient (but he self imports from UK, does not buy local version)

tundra is 4km/ltr
and if u floor it will be less then that maybe.if fuel is not a problem u can consider it for sure(for show sha)

tundra is full of luxury functions which vigo lake of and its a 5.6 lit vehicle but engine in sound less . but left hand steering is a trouble driving .

Of course Vigo for daily use, Tundra is a luxury 4x4, it's really long and as stated by muzammil73, it would be LHD which would be really difficult for someone who is addicted to drive RHD vehicle!
But try to get a Thailand vigo, it's far far better than the local one! The indus one is really bumpy and damn, the back seats are hell uncomfortable!

I need to decide between indus vigo and tundra.
thai vigos in low milage are oxymorons. They are mostly over used and have over 100k km under them, in don't know what conditions. Also, the injector issue in d4d pre 2008 means I need 2009 model to be safe side. 2008 is already 3.5mi or above. 2009 4mi. So these are out. If it's diesel, it has to be 2 yr old max. And in my budget, it is then indus vigo only. Tundra is petrol engine, a little more forgiving I am to understand than diesels. Thanks.

2.5 vigo under powered and tundra 5.7 v8.
Vigo normal size but tundra huge monstrr....

Do not go for a Tundra- You are already on a limited budget, imagine something goes wrong?
It is gonna drink fuel, like a thirsty camel.
Left hand drive is another issue. What about parts?
Think of it as a well, where you have to throw money in.

Indus Vigo- Gather a few more lacs and get a brand new one, especially with Auto transmission, since it's gonna be a daily ride.
If you have power issues, talk to Unichip- they can gain you many HP. Plus, you will have warranty and a piece of mind.
Could install an intercooler at the front as well.
Vigo Champ G A/T costs 36,49,000. Add 2 lac for Registration and 1 lac for insurance.

Thai/UK Vigo- I wouldn't go for it- It costs too much and no service history.

Brother, a Hilux can be no where close to Tundra in features, looks, power..every thing. But if you need a daily runner my advice is to stay away from Tundra :
1. Fuel Consumption : 4-5 km/l, If used as a daily runner, you would burn almost 90-100% more fuel than a Hilux
2. LHD : Our driving habits and "Keep left" road systems don't support driving LHD vehicles with convenience.
3. Huge Size : Driving it in both large and small cities would not be convenient as compared to a Hilux (Traffic congestion, turns, narrow streets, parking space ..consider all these hurdles.)
4. Service/Parts: A 7-8 years old vehicle will ask you again and again for both.
5. Budget : You won't able to find a problem free Tundra for less than 4 mil.
6. Resale : In case of need, you won't be able to sell Tundra as quickly as a Hilux can be sold. (Less demand)
7. Brand New/Zero Meter : A local zero meter Hilux can be bought in same budget.

I own a 2010 tundra. I had the option for a new vigo and this tundra and i bought the tundra with the eyes closed.
1- fuel consumption is 5.5 km/l if driven with a light foot
2- maintenance is CHEAP!! oil change costs 7k,oil filter costs 3-4k,air filter costs 2-3k,brake pads front 7k,back 5k. plugs costs 10-12k for a set of 8. etc etc

If you are a good driver then you would learn to drive the LHD in a few weeks,though getting parking in tight spaces is deff an issue,but i usually jump on the big footh paths if i dont get space

If you get into an accident,parts like lights,bumpers,side mirrors would be an issue to source,which are mostly found in dubai.

Other then that its a wonderfull truck!

My cousin owns a 2012 Thailand vigo champ, its luxury too!
I'm just saying that thailand vigo is also luxury unlike our local one, they are hell bumpy and if you let any of an old citizen of your family sit in the local vigo, I'm sure they will screw you for the ride being too bumpy!

Do toyota dealerships have all the necessary parts and expertise?

Indus Vigo has Leaf/ Kamani suspension in the rear, cannot those be changed with Thai Vigo suspension parts, to get that comfort back?

oil/oil filter/air filter changed every 10k km,plugs to be changed every 50k km
parts are widely available,as the new landcruiser/tundra engine is the same,almost every good shop has them.

mine is a 4x2
