"The freind" part is the questionable part for them. Nearly 95% of B visa cases involving Pakistanis go haywire. They are currently doing background checks on your freind, his income, his household and practices. If it seems to them that you are legit - they will issue you a visa, otherwise they might call you in again.

btw what business is your freind in and what involves you going there - its a major decisive factor on the visa.

She is an American Citizen & a Housewife have Children, 15 Years Older then Me.

Do not assume that the AP will end in a confirmed visa. The administrative process is part of their procedure to further investigation. Something must have been strange in your interview. Some document must not be standard.

e.g. the spelling of your name in some official documents gets fudged up because of underpaid gormint clerks writing in "insect language" like if you name has Muhammad in it and somewhere its written as Mohammad - its a suspicion call for them and into AP you go.

I know people who have been called again for interview. Mostly those people had some really odd situations like internal family marriages or some really oddball situations, like in your B1/B2 your current business or something related to it would not be adding up.. btw what are your plans on the B visa.

it is possible, they havent looked at my documents just asked me funny questions, the visa officer was so hot and brusting out of her shirt man it was so hard to consntrate but i managed it.

the big bang came when she asked me for my passport and looked into it and asked me why were you in afghanistan, and then she truned the 2nd page and asked again why were you in iraq, 3rd page and why were you in egypt. and then she asked me for my documents.

before one shows up to the interview the documents are submitted prehand - if the visa officer was just fudging around then you are one case, It was quite weird with me too, when they opened my passport - it was like a stamp collection - and another woman joined in to ask me questions. It was quite funny too - because I was recalling it like a travelogue.

anyways - OP - relax man, you are not in control of the interviewers mind. (It would be awesome though)

I just got B1/B2 visa for 5 years. My admin process took one month to complete. They will verify your data which you provided online to them. They will check your criminal record and your friend's testimonials. You will be informed by e-mail adress you have provided to them and American Exress courier service. You will collect your passport from American Express in person. You never know if you will get the visa or not till you finally notified by the American Embassy.

it happened to a sardar also when i was oggling at the visa officer, man she was a total atom bomb.

after asking all the questions to the sardar she told him get your ticket and when your flight dete comes then visit the embassy again and get your visa the same day but do get the ticket first.

embassy in vancouver is little different i saw people going with the full family even though only a single person was going in for the interview, that sardar with his mom and dad who didnt knew english dispite living in BC their entire life and this is the first time i ever had to go for a visa interview.

i also faced this problem back in 2006. actually i was offered a 2 months course funded by the usa state department. in my case they took a month for ap because of clearence of my name mustafa as certain muslim names appear in their system due to any possible linkages with most wanted terrorists after 9/11. since the course was offered officialy and us embassy was to take care of all arangement, as my course was delayed due to this ap .but the embassy gave me a five year multiple visa and get me enroled me in next batch. so name clearence could be one of the reason. wish you all the best.

REAL TROUBLE would be that if you had a name like Osama bin Laden, full beard, warzone country stamps on Pakistani passport and applying for business visa and being super arrogant at the desk.
