USB flash drive memory/pen drive/Hdd formats acceptable in smart Ecostar LED TV

Yesterday, I bought 32" Smart Android LED TV but whenever i insert USB, it is showing non-detectable device although same usb flash memory is working fine in my Laptop & Desktops.

I guessed usb ports are functional but not detecting usb flash drive/pen drive/Hdd due to non-compliance of Format acceptable or functioning in these LCD/ LED Tv.

It was NTFS formatted usb flash drive. Does formatting in computer like NTFS, Fat32, exFat will make detection issue in LED/LCD Tv or smart Android type TV?

Android is child of Linux kernel so 1st if all, these formatting pattern will make difference, Secondly, content present inside like .avi or .mp4 or .jpeg or. tiff or. png etc. will also behave differently from what they showed in Windows based system.

@capsat or C.S guys like @mustansir44 , can you guide in this sector?

Not a fan of LCD/LED so quite new in this....How can one know about acceptable format plus content workable formats in LED TV or can anyone refer website or platform from where i can get these information.

check the TV model supporting USB 2.0 / 3.0
A SMART TV was not detecting USB 2 at someplace however when the receptionist used a FLASH USB reader and memory card was inserted it read all the contents.

You may need to Activate from TV Menu STORAGE DEVICE as "Source" under options.

Had a non android Ecostar LED TV. Exfat with .mp4 format worked flawlessly.

Perhaps you have to check the settings in the tv menu, i used ntfs format directly from pc into tcl tv and no configuration or special format was needed, contents would show and could be run.

Exfat is not detecting while same USB flash memory if formatted in FAT, it is detecting easily. It is USB 2.0

Similarly, some of media files are not playable while majority are playable ao Conclusion is that you have to Research a little bit more before buying smart / non smart LCD/LED having USB media player circuitry inside so that you can run your content uninterruptible way.

Surprisingly, owner instructions manual with these details are not included with Tv carton by DWP

NTFS is mainly windows file system... Android does not support it natively....
Same like Ext4 is linux file system and is not supported by windows...

Fat32, fat are fine.... actually great for removable devices...
