In 2015 i decided to sell my 2009 Corolla Gli and upgrade to the new 11th gen Corolla. Still regret selling that car as it was a gem lekin khair jo ho gya so ho gya.
I put up and AD and my demand was more than other sellers were asking, the only difference being that my car was shimmering green color but was in the best condition in the twin cities no doubt. Not 1 scratch on the body in 6 years just 135k driven and totally dealership maintained.
I got tons of calls from 2 nambar dealer saying baray ganday color ki gaari hai mein tou 1-1.5lac kam du ga market se bechni hai tou bta do warni bethay raho nai bikkay gi. I get pissed when these type of people call. Bhai its my car i will sell it at the price i want not the one you want, if you dont like the price get lost.
I put the add on Friday and on the weeked 3 buyers came (only 3 cause i live in DHA-2 which is almost on the outskirts of islamabad and pindi and itni door log nai aatay)
They all liked the car and didnt even test drive it and said its a great car, we want to inspect a few more on the weekend and we'll let you know on monday.
Sunday night i get a call from a person and he says if by any chance you visit Islamabad let me know i want to check the car and i cant come as i had 2 cars. Sold one to buy a sedan which i am looking for and one broke down yesterday and is in the workshop and i have no vehicle. I said my office is in XYZ area i come daily to isb you can come to inspect. His office was right on my route as there was only 1 shortest route to my office and he knew it he said my office is right on your route if you dont mind showing me the car at my office its on your route, i'll take max 20 minutes.
I never go to the buyer to show him the car if he is interested he can come. Since he was on my route i didnt mind and on Monday i showed him the car before going to office. He had a molvi type mechanic who inspected the car and whispered to guy that was buying it "Sir jee baari bambuu gaddddii hai janay na do"
Fast forward to 12Pm i had already given him my office address and my name he comes and hands mein 14 lac cash 
and says gaari mujhay hi chahiye yeh lain paisay gaari de dain. I said brooooooooooo i wont deal in cash. Pay order hoga tou chalay ga warna no deal. He left and within an hour came again and gave me a pay order of 14lac and said ab sahi hai. I said yeah its ok lekin i dont have a stamp paper to have a written finalized deal and neither do i have time today to transfer the car.
He says keep the money. You have my number call me on any day when you have time to transfer and keep the car till then too i dont mind. I was shocked that a guy just gave me 14lac and left with nothing in hand and no written agreement that i have sold the car to him.
When i showed him the car at his office it was a XYZ Government office and i called a few of my buddies to confirm if this guy is legit or something fishy i going on. All my friends said he's a stand-up guy and probably wants the car real bad and doesn't want you to sell it anyone but him because its the best car available right now in the twin cities.
5-8Pm all 3 people that came on the weekend said when can we come to pay token we want the car and i told em already sold bro.
I deposited the pay order in the bank and 3 days passed no issues. I called him and said i can give you the car tomorrow and have a agreement on paper and transfer all that. He says ok and i gave him the car the next day
