While looking for an auto cuore in 2017 with my cousin... He used to floor it on D till 60 kph and then also braked hard...

Later i bought a 2 door mira, whch was sold 2yrs later, and the buyer also did the same flooring in D.

Why is this done and what does it signify?

Near future i might sell 08 cultus too.... Do i allow potential buyers to rev hard on neutral?

People do all sorts of stupid stuff. To counter this, I explain the condition of the vehicle to them, they check the body, and then we talk money, if the money makes sense, then I let them check the car to verify what I said. Otherwise I politely show them the door

If the engine oil is at perfect operating temperature, there is no harm. It takes around 8-10 km of normal driving to get the oil properly warmed up. It's a good way to check the acceleration and shifting behaviour under full throttle.

If the engine is cold, no way. And no, don't let buyers rev the car in neutral.

Interestingly enough, I was once inspecting a Khyber owned by an old uncle - he started it and revved it hard without me saying anything. I felt that car's pain.

Dayrider....I guess i first explain all about car ... Then discuss what are they planning to pay... If its close to what i want then i allow to test the car....if any low balls, then i straightly deny the test??

I seriously hate that useless revving and flooring the gas....

If you want a car for 6 people, brv, if you like excess power and toys, than grande. If you want a car that does everything perfectly but just adequately, get the 1.6.

GLi MT 2015/16 when it was new it's ex factory price was around 16lacish
Now these vehicle after 4 to 5 years of use/abuse are for sale in 20lacish price

When accounting for inflation over the past 4-5 years, 16 lacs in 2015-2016 were like 20-20.5 lacs today.

The nominal price of this car has appreciated even when taking inflation into account - I find it hard to believe that people are buying these cars at those prices.

Interestingly, a brand new 2000 Civic VTi Oriel Automatic cost ~9.6 lacs at that time - taking inflation into account, thats like ~42 lacs today. The price of a brand new Civic in Pakistan has remained more or less the same over 2 decades in that perspective.

In 2015/16, the ex factory price was about 17 lac..

This is not profit. This is loss. Bus humein profit lagta hai. 17 lac rupees at that time were 17 thousand dollars. Or aaj 10 hazar dollar 17 lakh bante hain. In actual, he bought a car for 17k dollar and is selling for 11/12k.

Umm it doesn't really make sense to use the dollar - since the transaction is purely local in local currency, using PKR inflation makes more sense.

IIRC, a decade ago, sellers at the mandi quoted insane prices a few weeks before eid (like always) - they blamed the rising dollar and weakening rupee, for an animal raised entirely on desi ingredients...

On a related note, despite nominally rising real estate prices, properties are actually falling in real value - their nominal rise hasn't been able to keep up with the insane inflation.

Guys last month i sold my HONDA CITY SX8 Kancha peice 2003 Model in 7 LAC RS

It was Automatic with D15b Engine, No work in car, i got many buyers then i finallly sold in 7 lac to a family buyer. and i give him a long drive of my car because i know he is a real buyer by his looks, jobs, he came in new model Grande and he never bought a used car, he was looking something auto for his wife, so i guided him . he handed over me his office card and told me about him self and disucss everything openly. i asked him to drive a car and take it to Highway . We move to highway Drive around 10 KM took a long cut from Sohrab goth till Straight on highway and either on inner roads of Scheme 33. he was fully satisfied , then he token me and next day before payment , since he was at job so he give this task to his father, his father was 80+ age , i took him to bank and to mechanic he wanted to show and infact due to his old age i give him hand supports on roads and footpaths, his father Showed the car to mechanic again before final payment and mechanic also took a drive and approved everything. Alhumdilliah i kept my cars 100% with everything in order and in beautiful drive and sold on my price too.
