Sad to hear your story. Dealers and investors are the ones who mostly cheat the simple and straight forward people. Ordinary buyers and sellers like us don't.
My advice is to keep on driving it for a couple of years. I am sure you will maintain it fully and sort out its problems one by one. One of your acquaintances shall see your honesty in maintaining it and shall buy it from you at a good price.
You are right. One should not take any mechanic to check the car. Most of them are unreliable. Same has happened to me and I paid the price more than you of blindly trusting my mechanic. Since then I left him. (I already have narrated my story in another thread, so it doesn't look good to repeat it here.)
But one thing I couldn't understand. Before paying the full amount to the seller you must have test driven the car. Suspension problems are not so difficult to identify. Same goes with the tires condition. You should have asked the seller to reduce the demand accordingly.
But see the positive side of the picture. This car still has excellent body condition so you need not worry about its resale. It shall sell like a hot cake.
