For home driven cars a 1.3 Corolla and City dont return more then 9 kmpl too.

i have a Honda City manual 1.3 2016 and it shows 13-13.5 kmpl on meter inside karachi city driving and lyari expressway daily both ways. however, the actual tank to tank average is 11-11.5kmpl. noting it since bought this car in May 2024. recently had a Khi to Isb and back trip on it with 5 people and loads of luggage - it returned around 13.8kmpl average.

1.3 ?!? The reports I received were ~ 9-12 km/l within city & 13-15 km/l highway. There was another concept in the market ~ "manual gadi di average behtar hundi hai" - said the classic mintgomery road axxpert. Anyway, I'm not sure if that statement is true or not, but yea wutever. I just shared the revelant info ~ Enjoy!

Yes it's true manual had better average due to 5 Speed Transmission while AT offered 4 Speed Transmission.

And yes we are talking about 1.3 L Corollas that give around 7 or 8 kmpl when driven for Grocery shopping at home.

Longer route cars manage 10 kmpl on 11th Gen Corolla and 12kmpl on 10th Gen.

Honda City 1.3 or 1.5L both manage around 9 kmpl in City drives. 10 or 12 if driven on straight roads without stop and go.

It all depends on acceleration with manual you can drive in a higher gear low RPM which would help to achieve better fuel efficiency but in khi's traffic ???

it takes 75-90 minutes on way back from II Chundrigar to home in the evening. whereas, in the same car i have done Khi to Hyd in 1h20m various times -which means 28km inside Khi driving is equal to 140km distance on highway. karachi is a living hell, absolutely no governance, no traffic management, no anti encroachment scene, no heavy traffic management. thats why you will hear people from isb lhr claiming +2kmlp easily than what we achieve here in khi.

Khi is overpopulated,
Way more than Lhr or Isb
Bohot he kum 3 ya 4 lane roads hain + kuch roads pe ek lane toh parked gariyon se he blocked hoti hai,
Gariyan bohot hai road ki chaurai kum + ajj kaal k logon ko gari sahi chalani he nahi ati
Ek example johar mor se phelay wala u-turn hai jiske wajha se pura road block hojata hai !!

Wow, 13 & 16 is really a good avg ~ I have received a few similar reports in the past, but again ~ avg varies person to person & as we all know there are many factors @ play.

Btw brother, did you calculate the avg via desi method ( fuel tank method ) ? I call it the special method " trip meter method". Did you conduct the test multiple times ? Did you take the mean of all values ( average value ) or was the test only conducted once ?

I'm from lahore & was born in lahore ~ Imo, lahore is already over-populated. Sorry a bit out of context ~ have the water issues resolved in karachi? No water for 6+ days ~ according a relative.

. It helps that a lot of lahore is signal free. On my route can easily get upto cruising speed. And I plan my route, avoid school rush times and check maps for any congestion.

I remember in 1994, was there for a year in karachi. My father left in his car. After an hour I could still see him a little ahead, that much traffic. I dare not think what the current situation is.

Issue has been resolved i believe because we never had this issue in this area where we currently live,

So fellow Pw Members I'm having a hard time trying to sell my car here,
Needs a lil TLC indeed but mechanically it's all sorted out
Currently asking 1.5million PKR
It's honestly break even if it sells for 1.5m but I doubt it
Any idea on what should be it's market price,
Dealers STEALERS are telling me it's 1.3 to 1.35m Market price if cosmetic works are done !!
