Indus Motor Company (IMC), the local assembler of Toyota vehicles, has expressed its interest in the commercial import of used cars, in line with the government’s recently introduced policy. - Staying in the leadership role.

However, besides Japanese OEM, Korean OEM license holders may also venture into used car market

may be mediocre class like me can also upgrade their vehicles to better models.

Used import of 5 years old cars is still in jeopardy.

Their are several conditions. And still they aren't very clear.

Some of the rumors in market state.

1) Importer must have a trade / Import License from 2017

2) XYZ amount of investment.

3) 3S facility

4) Source and Inventory of Spare parts.

Indirectly it will benefit the big 3 ( Suzuki, Toyota, Honda) initially. Later we will know how others can play or will it be a open market or again monopoly.

A very good potential for Indus motors , Toyota sells officialy used cars in alot of 3rd world countries with 3S support.

sir it is simple 2 x 2 -
Japanese OEMs as in Toyota, Suzuki & Honda in Pakistan are having serious competition from Chinese & Korean manufacturers in terms of sedan & trucks (aka dala). This is the only way these 3 Japanese OEMs can survive sedan & hatchback market.

ofcourse if & when used right hand drive japanese vehicles start to flood the 3S show rooms there will be significant drop in locally used (abused) car market.
