I recently moved to Karachi and have been looking to buy a Honda City 2012 model. It's been a little more than a week since I started searching. One of the things that I found disconcerting is that most of them are quite rusty in the trunk and under the hood. Also the roof paint has faded a bit in some of the cars? Is it something normal here in Karachi?
Secondly I came across this black 2012 model which only has a medium sized rust patch under the trunk. The main specifications & features are as follows:
- Model: 2012, Transmission: Manual, Color: Black, Registration: Karachi, Mileage: 97000 km
- After-market rear camera and android panel installed.
- All doors have paint touch-ups on them while the bonnet, roof and trunk are genuine.
- AC, lights and everything else is working fine.
- Car seems to be in good condition and well maintained.
The seller is demanding 18.5 lacs but said the price is negotiable. What would be a reasonable offer for me to start with?
Also, as you all know, the rupee has been continuously making gains against the dollar for a couple of weeks. Is it going to cause a reduction in prices of new & used cars in the coming weeks? Should I wait a month or so for the prices to go down to get a better deal or go right ahead and buy one now? What would you suggest?
