Using 125 bike petrol jet in cars like mehran : )

Has anyone tried and tested this?

i met this cab guy at the workshop
his cab has a 80 size jet(of 125 bike)
says the car runs smooth on level roads and can touch/cross 100km/hr when needed

i wonder how much fuel can a small car save with these smaller jets

there is no so much change in fuel consumption as i have installed 90 size jet few days ago in my alto 1000cc.i m getting almost the same average as it was before,the diffrence now is of pick of the car which is lesser than before.
By the way my car did 116 km in 1000rs petrol today, (70% highway + 30% within city drive)

it is a very small opening like pin(needle) which lets petrol in the carbeurator to inlet

i knw bro, wasy bhe Alto has very poor milage on petrol but its good on CNG.

Well I have 2011 mehran VXR and its well maintained... done 34000 km so far.. i don't remember the jet size but i replaced it with a smaller one.. and now I do 40% extra mileage. i was getting one round trip from E11 islamabad to pindi sadar before for 500 rs now i can make 2 trips.. but the drawback of installing smaller jets is that ur car max speed will b around 90 to 100. before that it was doing 120 to 125 easily on motorway. Now I can hardly push it to max 100..

Second drawback is car idles rough. I must say it is totally bad idea to do such experiments and will soon re-install the old jet..

To all who use new mehran with carb it will save u some fuel but will effect ur car engine in long run, and for those who have older mehran it wont b effective in saving fuel.

Some of my friends asked about what is fuel jets plz take a look...

Assalam o Alaikom Bhai Jann Mere pass Suzuki FX 1986 Model hai. Us ko main Petrol per Chala raha hooon lakin uski petrol ki average buhat buhat Kharab thi main ne us ka Carburetor Khol ker 125 CC motorcycle ka Petrol Jet 80 no ka lagaya or secondary jet main ne CNG rikshaw ka lagaya hai. Ab Meri Gaari Ki Petrol Average 16 se 17 Km per Liter ho Gae Hai. or Gari ki Pick main bhi itna khaas faraq nahi para hai. ab main ne aaj FX main 75 no ka jet laga ker dekhna hai kioon k abhi bhi uski average mujhe kam maloom hoti hai. Or gari ki Starting bhi buhat achi hai baghair acceletor ke start ho jati hai. Bas mujhe thori si mixture ki setting karni pari main ne 125 ka Jet sirf Rs 20 main lia tha. Araam se meri Gaari 100 110 per jati hai or na hi koi masla karti hai like pick ya missing etc. Main Insha ALLAH 75 no Ka jet laga kar apna experience zuroor share karoon ga.

This is quackery.
Do not do it.
Jets are designed to maintain a proper fuel air ratio which is 14:1 by reducing the key size you are disturbing the ideal ratio. It causes less fuel to be mixed with air so the ratio of air in fuel is smaller which losses engine power and secondly it heats up the engine.
