Have read a lot of SPECULATIVE work of how OBD devices can ruin a cars ECU if used for prolonged duration , but no one knows for sure or can back it up with logical scientific answer.
The way I see it is that the OBD (and android app on which you view its data) is a receiver, hence does tell the ECU to change modify anything.... Hence it should not damage the ECU either...
Some knowledgeable person input is solicited on the matter pls...
