Vacation suggestions for northern regions

i am planning to go to north regions after a very long time..

please provide suggestions where to go what to do.

me, wife and 6 year daughter.

starting from karachi.

I want to avoid long drives. so please suggest accordingly. where possible aeroplane travelling will be done.

timeline will be about 10 days. including travelling.

sir fly from karachi to either gilgit or skardu.....
in case u fly to gilgit then u can visit hunza naltar side......
in case skardu u can visit shigar, khaplu and kharmang vallys.........

i recomend u go for skardu side..............

only karachi to islamabad flights available with suitable times and dates.

sir in group tours there are limitations and certain restrictions which am sure you would not like to observe if the mrs. or the child is not comfortable.

sir if your Mrs. can drive during day, that makes it to, 2 drivers. plan according to your resources and time line. Drive only during day light Stop over at sunset. Enjoy the drive and the ride.

yes. the itenary is for private tour, only me, wife and kid.

i think this plan is too hectic for honeymoon stuff.......u shud limit your trip to either hunza alone or skardu side......

and its been 8 years now since i took a vacation. looking at prices... trying to cover as much areas as possible

As u already mentioned u want to avoid long drives…… so only option left to covers max places in min time is

Bhai take direct flight from Karachi to Skardu

In Skardu either stay or visit Shangrila Lake ( lower kachura)
Also visit upper Kachura lake
Hire any NCP Prado and visit Deosai ( Sheosar Lake) ( it will be a day trip)
Visit Shigar Valley side ( Sarfaranga desert, if u r interested)…. Shigar Fort ( Serena Khaplu)….. Blind Lake….. it will be a day trip
(If u leave early from Skardu u can cover Shigar and also visit Manthokha Waterfall in a day trip
Visit Khaplu and its surroundings ( many attractions)

Skardu to Gilgit and Hunza ( Stay in Hunza)
Visit Attabad Lake ( also u can stay there)
Visit Khunjerab Top

On return journey flight from Gilgit to Islamabad and then Islamabad to Karachi

duznt matter if u fly or drive to north u must stick to either skardu or hunza region... no need of "covering as much as u can". sorry but this logic pops up in every such thread.... i dont get it.... its better u enjoy the limited places u go rather than be hectic....

allow me to add,

you are going over a vacation with wife & baby girl.

forget "covering as much as you can"

vacation is to rest relax and spend quality time with family. Absorb the natural peace and the stillness of time after sunset. Your baby girl can enjoy chasing fire flies (as in jugno) at night out there. !

Boys only vacations are totally different as in handling a fire tender, Go Go Go reach put off fire, get the tank top up and rush to put out next fire ..

Finally completed the Karachi to Khunjrab by road Trip. A dream Trip which was pending for many many years. We were 5, 4 adults and one youth (11 years), we travelled in 2018 City. better to go to hunza (through gilgit) or skardu by air. spend 4-5 days and return by air.
