First of all, what is your current mileage for the car?? If the car has more than 150,000 KM's, get the COMPRESSION checked for the Cylinder 1 misfire. More than likely, it is probably low compression, NOT your Valve Clearance Adjustment. The Valve Clearance entails replacing the "Bucket" type shims, so only a competent mechanic needed.But if I were you, save the time and check the Compression for Cylinder 1. If it is low, then you have your problem: time to replace your piston rings!
