In the end, i settled on my bill being refunded. However, i must say the customer services methods here are so disgusting still. I was going to push for them to oay for the same work to be done elsewhere but i didnt have the time nor did i really want to bother. Professionalism in inudstry in Pakistan is nin exsistant. They dont understand the term that the customer is akways right, But anyways, i got my money back and its matter closed for me - ive even offered them help to change their workshop procedures, they took me up on that and i have coffee meeting booked for next week. Funny how things turn out.

you did the right thing.. else you could be offered tons load of B.s and services as buttering you down to way you agree and then rip you off in more professional way...

sometimes they act the way they think we are fools and only people behind desk and holding tools are with brains.... come down hard like iron fist level hard with evidence and complains to higher ends and they will act like stray cat you once feed..

unfortunately the mindset of technicians here are similar in most of fields...rip off the customer .its not company every time but middlemen just like you and me takes advantage of situation...

upon teaching them so let me tell you that loyality sincerity is one thing which you just cant change...if they are rip offs they will do it anyways . dont waste your time on such people

I may be wrong but isn't the oem coolant good for the first 200k kms? As mentioned on the sticker inside the hood.

100% you are, but as most people who are nor aware of the correct way of managing coolant, they would put simple tap water. So upon inspection small little rust particles would eventually accumulate due to the minieral content in tap water. If ionised water or coolant was used, then yes its good. Also, ive seen people here ignore the fact that there is coolant level for a reason, they just fill it to the brim.

This is the first time i have been to a main dealer in pakistan. I had a prius first last year and that didnt give me any bother so it was simple maintenance which was done by fuel station people. Then i had a vezel, i bought it knowing it needed a replacment engine due to me suspecting i had a compression issue - which was true. Sadly the work shop in Rawalpinid which advertised itself as a german and all other makes specialists, they were dumb as anything. I give it to them, they had some awesome tools and tech on hand like autel tools and injector testing station. But, they lacked the ability to utilise them to the max potential. they changed my unit, but they done a shit job, in the end i gave up trying too tell them that you guys have done a poor job and i sold it vowing never to buy an importate car.

Then i got the turbo - i was missing the power delivery i was used to from england! Its a shame the dealership let me down.

I dont think i want to go E11, but ill look into the two shops you mentioned and make my decision if they are porofessionals or not.

The technicians are at fault and i agree, but the CEO and managers adopted the same mentality when it came to giving my money back.

Quite frankly looking back at it, i wish i took it to Honda Atlas! The dealership doesnt deserve to be authorised by Honda, especially with a team they have. I mean if the CEO has a disgusting mentality,can you blame the rest of the team.

I think youd be wrong to assume Honda is bad brand just from my experiance. Im sure many people around you aswell as on here will happily entertain you with their strories visiting Toyota service centres - i have heard my fair share.

Dont get me wrong, I think all workshops cut small corners - afterall we are human.

But what these guys did was disgusting and daylight robbery.

I had a similar experience at honda. While cleaning the throttle body, they spilled some of the coolant and then filled it up with just water. Assuming it got diluted and i noticed the radiator fan would run quite extensively even on short runs. Had to drain it all and replace it with new coolant. I'm guessing lots of others won't notice such a thing and would eventually lead to damage to the engine cuz of all the extra heat. Always have to be on your toes in Pakistan.

Coolant does the job of protecting the cooling system from rust and other deposits and can't dissipate heat quickly. Water does the job of cooling down the components as it dissipates heat quickly.
