Finally, after nearly 16 years on the road, my trusty LX470 developed its first major problem: a slow leak from the water pump and thermostat bracket. While the loss of coolant was nothing major, I kept a close eye on it since it was only a matter of time that the water pump bearing would go bad, with bad effects on the timing belt, which would not be good for an interference engine.
