A Vehicle Maintenance schedule
When your vehicle is new, it should be serviced by a factory authorized dealer service department to protect the factory warranty. In many cases, the initial maintenance check is done at no cost to the"owner.
The maintenance intervals in this document is provided with the assumption that You, not the dealer, will be doing the work.
These are the minimum maintenance intervals recommended by the factory for most of the vehicles that are driven daily. If you wish to keep your vehicle in peak condition at'all times, you may wish to perform some of these procedures even more often. Because frequent maintenance enhances the efficiency, performance and resale value of your car,
Every 500KM miles or weekly, whichever comes first
Check the engine oil level
Check the engine coolant level
Check the windshield washer fluid level
Check the brake fluid level
Check the PoWer steering fluid level
Check the automatic transaxle fluid level
Check the tires and tire pressures
Every 5000KM or 3 months, whichever comes first
All items listed above plus:
Change the engine oil and oil filter
Every 15000 KM or 6 months, whichever comes first
Inspect (and replace, if necessary) the windshield wiper blades
Inspect (and replace if, necessary) all underhood hoses
Check the clutch pedal for proper freeplay
Check and service the battery
Check the engine drivebelt
Check the cooling system
Rotate the tires
Check the seat belts
Every 25,000 KM or 12 months, whichever comes first
All items listed above plus:
Inspect the brake system
Replace the air filter
Inspect the fuel system
Check the manual transaxle lubricant level
Inspect the suspension and steering components to do so.
If you drive in dusty areas, idle more or drive at low speeds for extended periods or drive for short distances (less than 15KM) in below freezing temperatures, shorter intervals are also recommended.
Check the driveaxle boots
Replace the cabin air filter
Every 50,000 KM or 24 months, whichever comes first
All items listed above plus:
Change the brake fluid
Check (and replace, ifnecessary) the spark plugs
Service the cooling system (drain, flush and refill)
Inspect the exhaustsystem Change the automatic transaxle fluid and filter and differential lubricant
Change the manual transaxle lubricant Check and replace if necessary the PCV valve
Every 75,000 KM or 48 months, whichever comes first
Check and adjust the valve clearances This item is affected by "severe" operating conditions as described below. If your vehicle is operated under "severe" conditions, perform all maintenance indicated with an asterisk at 5000K mile/3 month intervals.
Severe conditions are indicated if you mainly operate your
vehicle under one or more of the following conditions: Operating in dusty areas Idling for extended periods and/or low speed operation
Operating when outside temperatures remain below freezing
and when most trips are less 10KM
If operated under one or more of the following conditions, change the manual or automatic transaxle fluid and differential lubricant every 20,000 KM
In heavy city traffic where the outside temperature regularly reaches 110-degrees F (+40 degrees C) or higher In hilly or mountainous terrain. Incase there is some typos please forgive me if some check items are missing, please do add .
