Very urgent Advice needed ;friend's car got hit

Plz epersts on accidents;

Just few minutes back one of my friend called and informed me that a traller hit his car and the damage is almost 50 thuonsands; Troller's driver admits his mistake. That traller belongs to someone else . I personally talked to the traller's driver and suggested him to contact traller's owner to make for the damage as the damage to much.

Insurance company was contacted by my friend as the car was insured ; but they say that they will cover 50% damage as the car is 2005 model.

Now in this situation please guide us what should we do.

ask the traller owner to pay up! the insurance will cover the 50% cost, rite? tell he tralla owner to pay for the 100% or 75% damage, btw, how bad is the damage?

My friend informed me on cell that bumper has been totally crushed and impact has also damaged internal parts as well.

According to friend's estimate 50 k will cover the the damage.

By the way shuold we get a writen statement from the the driver so that we have a record of the accident?

and by insurance paying 50% you mean to say that wat ever new parts come the owner has to pay 50% rest denting painting is totaly free no matter how old the car is.

insurance company is rite. with every passing here, the insurance generally depreciates by 10 percent. so if ur friend got ur car insured in 2005, its the 5th year now and the insurance guys are rite in saying they wud pay 50 percent (of the parts). however, paint job, denting painting is always free from insurance guys. ur friend wud only have to pay for 50% of the PARTS that wud be fitted in the car. and as for this amount, let the trailer driver pay for this 50% which ur friend has to pay.

@f430, chanda 100 % to brand new car pe bhe nae hota u have to pay 5% in the first year and some cases 5% in first 6 months nd 10% by first year

altho denting painting free hoti hai. parts ke pese sum wat go from your pocket.

Thanks brothers your suggestions and comments are of great help.I did not know that denting and paintining is free from insurency company only parts are shared.

This situation is simlpe and common but we faced this for the first time such a severe damaged. If someone face a very simple thing you naturally turn to those who already nuderwnt such situations as he is not aware of sometimes formalities in such situation.

Another aspect of this sharing is to enlighten other pakwheelers what to do in such situation.

Pakwheels is really a very good learning plateform.

Anyway the driver agreed to pay the damage but requested not to talk to the trailer owner.

Initailly my friend decided to forgive him but later on decided to punish him so that hwe will be careful in future.

Thanks God no causaulties were involved in this accident.

well i think u r mistaken a lil. as i said, ur insurance guys must be paying 100 percent for the repairs only. denting, painting, any other stuff....but they MUST be charging u for the parts consider ur statement again. dad kee gli 07 mein zero meter lee thee, and after only 3 months we had to replace the rear bumper as a motorcylist french kissed it we ended up paying 10 % (or was it 5% in the first year)....but we DID pay for sure
