Guys ,

I know it has been discussed many time before , but all reviews are mixed up and are clouding my decision .

I own Aqua 2017 and now driving it for a while i was planning to switch to VEZEL 2016 model .

but the comments i read are so mixed up that I am not even sure if I should go for it or not.

Civic and Corolla i have already used and dont really want to buy them again ...

Vezel reviews are really mixed up, some people bash it while some praise it for being the best compact SUV. It's suspension is stiff so great stability and handling but a very bad response on rough patches. The 2013-2015 models had a transmission failure issue as it's electric 7 speed DCT so it overheats in high temperatures over here so you continuously have to top-up the gear oil as it can be a very expensive repair/replacement. The engine + electric motor provide 160 BHP so it has a very good response to the pedal.

People say that the gear issues were resolved in 2016 Model ? Is that true ?

You should go for it,
Just need to periodically change the transmission fluid and it would give u no issues.
Using a 2015 since last year and it is better then local corolla or civic.

Used this Vezel (Janazah) 2016 model 2021 import for 3 months sold it right away as i experienced the gear issue. I had the same thought k 2016 model hai facelift version hai ismy nhi hoga.

Definitely buy a 2016 Vezel no questions asked, the suspension isn't a back breaker, it's better than the local honda city but stiffer than a civic but the advantage being it has insane road grip and stability. No other crossover has the handling capabilities of the Vezel. Power is also unmatched, and its brimmed with features.
as for the "Gear problem" its not an issue at all my 2015 drove over 160,000 kms no problem, you simply need to change its actuator fluid not the transmission fluid many people get confused, ill attach a video and you should buy the 2016 with a peace of mind. Get it sent to fixmycar.pk so they can give it the latest software if you are still in doubts

The overheating of the transmission occurs by finishing of the actuator fluid so we can like avoid it by checking it while doing periodic maintenance i.e engine oil change at 5000 km. Btw when should we change the transmission fluid?

Assalam o Alicom,

Since you have already used Civic and Corolla, if your budget allow you why not to give Hyundai Elantra a try.. it's value for money.

Although, I'm not against Vezel or imported car, they give much better comfort and riding experience, but Gear issue is a big risk and God Forbid if it happens to your Vezel , expenses would be around 125-200k , therefore, it's not a reliable to consider unless you re a risk taker.

Sir the actuator fluid doesn't finish lekin it gets really dirty so i used to change mine at 10k but you can change it at 5 for peace of mind you can change it at 5k too. Transmission fluid is to be changed at 160k kms then every 80k after that as per honda japan

I think I will buy the Vezel 2016 Model and keep few things noted as per the above comments.

One last thing - What should be the price for 2016 Vezel ? and which model will be Better -

Z sensing ? - Although am not much sure about the difference in these 3...

If you really value suspension softness go for the X Sensing as it has really soft suspension almost Corolla type. If you prefer handling and road feel, and dont mind slightly stiffer ride (its not unbearable) get a Z sensing the Z sensing is the obvious choice as a regular Z doesn't come with the sensing options and thats the whole point of buying a 2016 Vezel as sensing was only available in 2016+ models. Keep in mind Sensing is available in the X aswell, you can tell its a Sensing if it has the lane assist and adaptive cruise buttons on the right side of the steering. The X doesn't lose much features than the Z, it doesn't have automatic wipers and dual zone climate control, its not got full body paint as the bottom parts are plastic, 16 inch wheels but the ride is way better. I'd suggest you drive both an X and a Z and then decide if you want the soft ride or a sporty ride. As for price sir aap 2 lakh ki bhi lein logon ne apko bolna hai "Mehngi le li" , me personally I'd say 44 - 45 maximum for 2016 - 2017 models as long as they're not damaged vehicles

I am looking for Used one. The prices here on OLX and Pakwheels are coming around 36 - 40. I will get it checked through a mechanic and then the auction sheet as well.

Yessir, and a small piece of friendly advice, even upto 2019 honda has been doing a couple of recalls although they aren't any major fault I'd still get them done i believe theyre just updates to the ecu for better mileage and one for the door switch, there's a shop in Islamabad called fixmycar.pk they update all these Hondas software with original firmware from Honda Japan. (No these recalls are not transmission related before people start slandering dct) those recalls were for 2013 - 14. Anyways fixmycar.pk apparently also unlock the cruise control so it will work past 110 km/h as all Japanese cars are locked to 110 on cruise control, just something to look into
