do you have after market power amp or any other electronics HID etc installed ?
is your vehicle collision sensor (in front bumper) working ?
The Hybrid control system, along with many other systems, is connected to the braking system. On one hand it is because of the regenrative braking aspect of Hybrids and on the other it is a matter of safety as you do not want the Hybrid and other driver aide systems to intervene with anything when the brake system is at fault as it might cause an accident (for example the Hybrid system might kick in to provide drive assist under certain circumstances and if there is something wrong with the brakes, the last thing you want is a surge of power and the car moving with too much force/speed than you want to and lose control)
When the ABS started giving errors the car is probably in limp mode. So go get it sorted out. you might find other issues wrong with the car as well (JDM Hondas of this particular era is notorious for having every system tightly integrated and then spewing off cryptic and even seemingly unrelated error messages). Do things like city brake and other collision avoidance systems work ? They also might have shut themselves off in the background (so be careful) and need resetting. If there is nothing else wrong with it, then your car will start to run normally after the fix
