I just replaced the electronic fuel pump after the old one stopped working after 2 years. It was an easy job, and car is running good but it's giving a strange problem.
There's unusual vibration and noise while it's running. I just unplug the pump to make sure the sound isn't coming from anything else. But what's more interesting is when I switched on the headlights, the sounds disappears. And sometimes it also disappears even without turning on the lights. I also checked if it's getting hot or any anything unusual but it's working fine except this thing.
Electrician told me that it's due to fuel tank running LOW, yes it's true that I don't fill more than few liters as we use this car only 2-3 times a week for 20-30 km per trip. But if this is the case, why the old pump was working fine while it sucked last drop of fuel from the tank but never vibrate that high? And why the sound stops as soon as I turn on the headlights?
What do you think could be a problem?
It's Reccon (red color), sold in a box and the vendor told me that it's the best of all (Chinese) fuel pumps.
