In year 2011, I have bought Daihatsu Cuore Automatic Model 2007. CNG was already installed by the seller. I have bought new alloy rims, tyres, all three foundations & placed thin rubber spacer with suspension & replaced the point with CDI, Dry battery is in use. It has been working well since i bought it. Regulary change engine oil, oil filter, air filter & other parts when my local mechanic asks me to do so (like brake pads, shoes, transmission fluid, brake oil, coolant, yearly service of radiator etc).
For last couple of months i have experienced that the car extraordinary vibrates (specially the whole dashboard) on D & R whether it on petrol or CNG. I took it to the mechanic he checked everything, finally told me that everything is OK, just need to replace a foundation. I said OK. He replaced the foundation which has become harder or broken. But still no result. He then asked me to leave the car as it will take time to find the root cause. I also told him that the car shifting the gear from 2 to 3 a bit late. Anyhow, after couple of hours he called me & told me that he has checked each & everything even checked the transmission fluid. Everything is OK. Now the only solution is to change the gear box with a Kaabli one & it will cost me around 15k excluding labor charges.
Can someone help me if the mechanic diagnosis is right? (The mechanic is not a Automatic-only mechanic).
What else could be the problem?
Any recommended automatic car mechanic in Karachi?
Is the mechanic telling me the right cost of Kaabli gear box ? What should be the labour?
I want my car back in immaculate running condition with most economical repair/replacement costs.
Oh yes, AC pe vibration thori kam hojati hai but 19-20 ka farq ajata hai.
Recently i replaced my old dry battery with a new one Hankook 45MBL but after that my car need 3-5 self to start on CNG (without pushing accelerator in the morning & 2-3 self on petrol in the morning (on petrol sometime i need to push accelerator).
Please help me.
