Vibration while accelerating

My car produces a little vibration while accelerating - It generally comes after 20-25 minutes of driving. There is hardly any on the steering but can be felt on the passenger side seat etc.

Its not a wheel balancing issue as they are balanced and vibration ONLY occurs during acceleration. Without acceleration there is no vibration at any speeds. I am suspecting the CV joints but i am not 100% sure. The Vibration totally disappear if there is someone sitting on the passnger side (v. weird).

If its the axles - Should i just replace both the units or just the CV joints? I've heard that repacking and re greasing the boots often solves the problem. There are no weird sounds coming from axles. No clunking, clicking , grinding .

How much would a brand axle set cost for Honda City 2002- I don't wanna put Kabli or Gola wala ones. What about these chinese ones ? Are they any good ?

fishy kinda situation
i had the same vibration problem in my ROLLA and found out it was the timing belt
mech said that vibration during acceleration is due to either engine mounts or timing belt :S ..............ur situation is a little confusing

Timing belt... hmm . I don't think its from the engine because there is no vibration if i rev up on neutral . I am still suspecting the inner CV joint or disbalanced axles. Went to the mechanic he said he'll have to open up the axles. He said the China ones are crap and i should go for KABLI since the ones from Honda cost 20k for a set.

n other thing of ur Axle dont use the chinese axle it will not repairable in future go for Kabli its better than chinese

i guess its a gearbox thingy!!!!!
change your transmission oil and then see...
is your car auto or manual transmission!!!!!?

If its throttle , the vibration should occur even on neutral

ii observed this problem in 05' SE Saloon i had but i sold that car without gettin this checked to some mechanic...

only if i think a lil deeper about it, it seems like something with gearbox/clutch...

Sure bro.

I am gonna start with changing transmission oil tommorow. Lets see how it responds. Thinking to get the clutch/pressure plates diagnosed. I still have a strong feeling that its the inner CV joint or a disbalanced drive shaft. Will let you know once resolved.

What bugs me is that the axles are totally quite even while taking sharp turns. Not even a single tuk which creates doubts.

i dont think its a case of faulty axle neither to do with transmission oil , i strongly feel its to do with weal clutch and pressure plate i might be wrong please let us know the update thanks !!

wese fahad is ur car running on CNG??
and if yes then does this same problem occurs even when driving on petrol ??

Lets just hope i don't end up changing everything. Its so hard to pin point the exact problem. Will definately keep you guys posted!

Yes same thing occurs on Petrol aswell. Mostly while accelerating on second gear.
After 60kmph the rattle totally disappear. The car can easily achieve 140 without any kind of vibrations.

Suspensions are smooth with not even a single noise. Tyres are in great condition with zero punctures and rims are balanced. Alignment is also perfect.
The car never losses its balance on sudden braking and during high speed curves. If you have kept a 2002 City you would know its a very stable frame. I am maintaining the stock hide so its really fun to drive.
