Vibration while accelerating

If its throttle , the vibration should occur even on neutral

ii observed this problem in 05' SE Saloon i had but i sold that car without gettin this checked to some mechanic...

only if i think a lil deeper about it, it seems like something with gearbox/clutch...

I am gonna start with changing transmission oil tommorow. Lets see how it responds. Thinking to get the clutch/pressure plates diagnosed. I still have a strong feeling that its the inner CV joint or a disbalanced drive shaft. Will let you know once resolved.

What bugs me is that the axles are totally quite even while taking sharp turns. Not even a single tuk which creates doubts.

i dont think its a case of faulty axle neither to do with transmission oil , i strongly feel its to do with weal clutch and pressure plate i might be wrong please let us know the update thanks !!

Lets just hope i don't end up changing everything. Its so hard to pin point the exact problem. Will definately keep you guys posted!

Yes same thing occurs on Petrol aswell. Mostly while accelerating on second gear.
After 60kmph the rattle totally disappear. The car can easily achieve 140 without any kind of vibrations.

Suspensions are smooth with not even a single noise. Tyres are in great condition with zero punctures and rims are balanced. Alignment is also perfect.
The car never losses its balance on sudden braking and during high speed curves. If you have kept a 2002 City you would know its a very stable frame. I am maintaining the stock hide so its really fun to drive.

Yeah. A broken Axle or a worn out clutch plate is a better problem. Atleast there is no riddle. These types of problem tease you.

first chk ur engine mount, usually when they are faulty, there are some other symptoms too. like when u switch off ur car there is a slight noise (dug dug) from the engine bay will look like bonnet catcher is making the sound. then chk ur axles best way to do that is turn the steering fully to either side and then start driving if they are faulty then it will produce a metal cracking sound. tires are also often linked to vibrations strangely they vibrate at a certain speed but vibrations vanishes just above or below the speed. my best guess is that drive shaft may have bent a little or cv joints have gone bad.

No sound will shutting off the engine. No noises while taking full turns. Tires are balanced and wheels are aligned.

how old are ur tires? it doesn't matter if they balanced or aligned, if the rubber is old it tends to deform so plz chk tht too.

Atif_rasheed might be onto something- if the rubber has warped enough, it might be able to produce a lot of vibration.

That said, my car also vibrates on acceleration- with any amount of throttle input. If it's above 2000 rpm in any gear, it vibrates under acceleration. I knew my right side inner tie rod was done, so i thought it was that. After getting that replaced, getting the wheels aligned and balanced (wanted to be sure), the problem's still there. No idea what it could be now.

Welcome to the club-

Tires are hardly 1 yr old and are bridge stone.
Never punctured rarely abused. Had to get the gear oil checked/replaced today but got stuck at work.

Will keep you guys posted until the mystry is resolved.

The Vibration totally disappear if there is someone sitting on the passnger side (v. weird).

I experienced the same kind of problem in my santro executive couple of months back. i.e whenever i used to let go the clutch to attain a certain motion, it used to vibrate. When i got it checked, the clutch plate and the pressure plate were found faulty. I got them replaced and the problem was gone.

Thanks for the help everyone. Somebody referred me to this suspension expert in lines area so i went to him on my way back from work.

He tested the car, abused a little bit, and then we had a long chat. I told him about all the things i have been experiencing and he concluded that i should get my rims checked for bent, he point the left side. He was pretty confident so i went for balancing again and found that my left side rim was somehow bent. Its weird because the last time i had my wheels balanced it was totally fine and vibrations were there. Anyways i got them balanced and rotated. The vibration is i'd say 95% gone but that 5% is still there. I'll go to him on sat to get it checked again, will also get my clutch checked.
