Let me answer my own questions, basically number of formats are acceptable such as MP4, AVI, MKV, DAT, MPG, MPEG, VOB but problem remains that you need to convert these videos into these formats.
Once, I was converting the videos then I was using total video converter for this purpose and tried to convert the video into all the possible formats as described above but did not worked. Audio used to work but I would receive the error message that video format is not compatible. Anyway, I had few videos which used to work with the Windows C.E device which were uploaded in past.
Being frustrated, I opened the vides on my Laptop and went into the properties and then further into details from where I noted down the following details which were as follow
Frame Width: 480
Frame Height: 360
Data Rate: 883 kbs
Total bit rate: 947 kbs
Frame Rate: 15 frames/seconds.
After diagnosing the issue with earlier decoded videos I realized that although videos used to convert into the given format but above variables would always turn out to be different.
I choose the format MPEG4 AVI, then uploaded the videos on converter, went into the settings and changed the parameters of Videos only to match that of above and it worked.
