HERE ARE A FEW PICS OF MY MISADVENTURE OF OPENING A CLASSIC CAR WORKSHOP WAY BACK IN 1990. IT LASTED ABOUT TWO YEARS BEFORE I HAD TO SHUT IT DOWN DUE TO MASSIVE RECEIVABLE AND CASH FLOW ISSUES.

I still have this faithful blue Fiat 500 (now red and in regular use). Here it is seen on duty - towing a 1949 Harley Davidson Hydra Glide and a Fiat 500.

Chances are that Mujahid Zafar's Wolseley might be Petman's. Ms. Tehmina Durrani's (Ex- Mrs. Khar. Authoress - My Fedual Lord) writes in probably the 5th chapter of her book that in 1957, Hal Bevan Petman painted a portrait of her mother. Ms. Durrani lives in Lahore and a painter in her own right. Maybe she might be having some idea about more Petman paintings.

I don't have a workshop anymore - only had it for 2 years at Bristol Hotel premises near Clifton Bridge and that too in 1990. But pretty juicy cars - have more pics, will scan and post tomorrow.

Do u all want to see more pics....??

DO u know any1 selling a Triumph Side valve 500cc ? Or a Fiat which ur using n towed ! or a Mini Austin ? Or an Impala 2 door ?

1965 Impala Convt. contact Imad on 03008221499. He just sold a Fiat 500 for 150,000/- (non-running car). A restored Mini is available perhaps for 200,000 ++ - let me know if you are interested and I 'll have the owner call u. I sold a basket case Fiat 500 for 65,000 last year. The owner might sell. Denting work is complete but the car is all apart and needs 110% committment to complete. Let me know.

I am not sure if he would sell but since he has bought Imad's car by default i.e. he wanted the BMW Isetta only but Imad wanted to give away both the cars. I can take you to his place and we can talk to him if u r interested. You 'll get to see other interesting stuff there.

@Asad. Thanks for your concern, and no, it's not a nuisance! I was in Karachi in March I think, but only for 2 days. I had urgent work to do, and just managed to check up on the Ragtop- it was still there and the chowkidar was too, who I appointed to take care of it. I couldn't contact you because I didn't have your number! That was the last I saw of it; i'm on a serious hunting expedition for the ragtop once I finish the Bar. I also have all the paperwork for it so it's just a question of locating it. I'll keep you updated as I get more info.

my 1941 BSA M20 with side car and my all time favourite Norton ES2 1947. These were the two bikes that I used the most. I miss them terribly.....life hasn't been the same since I sold them.
