What brand is the aluminium paint?? It has given good result with a nice finish.

You are right. The lacquer would cause dulling of the chrome and maybe yellowing. lets see. As I said its a 'nothing to lose' pilot project. Anything goes wrong, I can change back to painted parts in under 15 minutes.

Whats this 'mirrachrome' paint?? The only thing I have seen is whats available in spray cans. Its just a very bright shade of silver.

You are right about the idiots claiming a lifetime finish but as soon as you complain about a ruined finish all they say ''saab insaam ki koi garanteee nahi to yeh kya cheeze hay!''

Maybe we can have one sample part chromed by your source and see the result....subject it to a few months of abuse nd see.

Yar..just a can of aluminium paint..you just need that nice metallic shine...and a lacquer to seal it in..took me a couple of days to perfect it tho...

That Morris looks like a Morris Isis with a 6 cyllinder engine. There's one in Karachi rotting away.

good job on the engine detailing. I am not a big fan of the chrome paint. I have been using the same guy for chrome work for 25 years. He is atleast upfront and honest when you ask him how much would the chrome last....he is willing to invest in a new tub and chemical for copper plating prior to nickel and chrome provided we give him 8-10 cars woth of work at the same time. The guy is Amir (Shafi chrome) on Akbar Road. Their shop goes back to 1947.

Your timimg cover hole could have been repaired easily. Now you might as well wait for the new part to come in but keep the old one in store after having it repaired.

Paint on 1965 Mustang engines was black and on subsequent models Ford Blue like the one on your car.

Not sure of exact model. Car comes with a spare engine.
Could be ideal for any Chrysler project car needing a V8....

hey there every one . hope mohsin can help me out i went scouting near the lahore mall road today found 5 vintage or retro cars the first one looked like a early 60 vauxhaull but no one on the forum seems to talk about vauxhauls then i was walking through neela gumabad when i saw what looked like a morris or some other mid 40s car could get into the parking area it was in will try again in a few days . about half an hour walking near the simla pahari area when i saw what looked like a early 60s impala but as i got close a badge on the right side of the vehicle said bel air well it was being used by a druggie as his den but the car looked in restorable shape need help identifying the last car im posting some pics!

need to ask you people what are the formalities that have to be gone thru . when one gets a classic car with no registration or papers . i know any thing works with the police in pakistan but with a family of lawers getting some thing il legaly dosent turn out to be of much help.

I have had papers made for cars which didn't even have regd. numbers intact, no documents whatsoever etc. Go and see the Director Excise, he should be able to help u. Incase he is not being helpful then try and meet the Secretary Excise. The need to be convinced that the subject car has sentimental value and needs to be brought back to life.
