@ mohsinikram:
Thank you very much. Ill inform you around saturday and fix a time for the visit.
@symbiote
Great to note your activities! Im a wrench puller myself and have beliefs quite close to yours.
Some questions:
What brand paint did you use on the pulleys??
Did you apply it yourself??
This means you borrowed/rented/bought an air compressor??
Does Ford recommend painting the engine block? If so is there any kind of guideline?
@ neurosurgeon
I laughed hard when you mistakenly referred to Safeershah as Shershah!!
Well Shershah is a middlename for most of us!! I can spend hours there without missing a thing.
I would like to know the details of cadmium platting. Cost, availabilty, durability, recommended applications etc etc.
@ All
I am experimenting with local chrome on a short ''nothing to lose'' basis. Would have the chromed stuff lacquer coated and see how long it lasts.
Th 'stuff' includes a pair of dashboard speaker grilles and an ashtray for the VW Bug. I found a set at Shershah earlier which had already been chromed. Of course it meant that bits were already flaking off. So I decided to have the job redone and then coated with lacquer.
Anyone knows of a local source for GOOD quality chroming?? Symbiote was smart not to have the Stang's pulleys chromed. The 'bling' would have lasted just over a month!
Best regards
