Just out of interest...

Over the next few months, once I return to Pakistan over the summer and sort a few things out...

I'm very interested to know if any one knows of any of the following cars for sale in Pakistan, in any condition:

1. 1950's Mercedes 300SL Roadtster (oblong lights)
2. 1950's Mercedes 190SL (the round lights)

3. 1950's Mercedes Ponton sedan/coupe/convertible

4. Porsche 356 any model, coupe/cabrio/speedster

5. VW Beetle (Karmann) convertible - no top chops...older the better.

6. VW Karmann Ghia - any model, older the better.

the cars you want are in very rare even in states and europe and in pakistan they are now above one million , Mohsin correct me if I am wrong

this is an E type owned by my friend in OZ! He bought it from a woman in Cayman Islands. She got this car as a gift from her b/f. He had it totally restored in OZ. What a beauty! Here is another pic with me in the car. Boy did we get some looks as we drove around!

Hullo everybody. Been away and net was playing up.

Also the house saga seems to be nearly at an end. The gate was delivered and not according to design so another 10 days before it is handed over. The better half was obviously happy and the happiness spilled over to yours truly..

romano some news ....the Chrysler was seen and Waseem wants to get it. We are all busy with patients at the moment but will be in touch next week or so.

Have bought another one...pics after delivery next week ... sports coupe again... needs a lot of work but doable... Harvey Bailey suspension required

dont know about the rest but there was a 1959 merc 190D ponton for sale a few weeks back in a local newspaper.

aleem. i think i have read a post along similiar lines from you a few months ago. its not going to happen. plus, i remember you had a beetle that was in a police thana sometime ago. best collect it and restore it before going for cars that you prolly wont find here. in anycase, when you get here, roam around and ask around and do your scavenging. there are many people here looking for such cars for much longer. and if found, news of which wouldnt really get to you in anycase.

been roller coaster day - full of disappointments and full of excitement. Had dinner with Jim and Moin at Zeenan, then went to see the Jag on Tariq Road. Just got home (12.45 past midnight)
