Near my home there is a show room and a 1930 era car was for sale 1 year ago, the guy said that it is used by Liaqut Ali Khan the first PM of Pakistan

im in pindi now adays...and a freind of mine discoevered this priceless gem in ayub park.
it is Lyndon B johnson's presidential limo when he had com to visit Pakistan.
it had ended up with the US embassy that eventually auctioned it off..it was bought by a brigadier and is now lying in the open like this,,,its very clean and can still be salvaged..

As luck would have it one of my cousins is getting married tomorrow in Faisalabad and I even cannot go there as I am operating on a couple of emergencies on Sunday.

I have bought the Alfa 1750 GTV basket case. Why am I drawn to such things...to others interested ... you are young yet and there shall be more along presently. The Alfa is a car I have waited for the last at least couple of decades and I certainly wasnt going to let this slip away.

My mechanic is in Karachi Monday and he can load both the TR and the Alfa for Lahore

Very nice choice of wheels Sir! Please keep us upto speed on what happens.

Has it got all of its mechanicals? Or is it missing some fairly substantial parts? If so, excuse me for my heretic comments, but you might consider putting in a high power atmo jap engine while you sort out the originals. That's also help you dial in the rest of the car, suspension, brakes, electrics etc. And you can always enjoy your Alfa while you're at it.

A quad throttle EFI motor should be pretty close in "feel" to the original Alfa twin-carb (I'm assuming that yours is non-American market - thus the absence of EFI)
