The 105 Alfa Bertone coupe is a great find although it is missing the engine and the gearbox. Mohsin... I shall be extremely grateful if you could source the engine and gearbox for me. I know an acquaintance of yours with the requisite along with I am told a couple of Webers. My mechanic will contact you today or tomorrow. The main problem with the restoration will probably be the steering gear and the pedal box. The bottom hinged pedal box has probably been taken out.. but Bruces Parts Bin Zindabad. He was a source for my Fiats so heres to another relationship.
The Alfa spider yes please.. pls give me a few days to get this Alfa rolling.
The cost of the Alfa please dont ask. I was willing to pay anything. This may well turn into an EXPENSIVE Alfa.To the suggestion about the quad throttle body engine. I met Rashid (levin) yesterday... pakwheeler ... and he has one lying around. This is good temporary alternative to the original engine.
I am going to the UK in September so if Mohsin cannot get one for me then I will certainly get one then. It may well be better to sort out the suspension first until that time and the bodywork and the interior. Harvey Bailey engineering offer a fast road kit which lowers the 105 series slightly
