STOP!! Please dont go tearing out the engine and suspension to bits. You are BOUND to go wrong.

I strongly suggest you do a LOT of groundwork before you delve into such ventures. A Morris is not the omnipresent Mehran that any roadside mechanic can fix. Every mechanic would encourage you to drop the A bomb and go ahead with a 'complete overhaul'. its your money that would be burnt like waste paper, not theirs.

I need to see you and the car for a long lecture on some things.

You need to first find some manuals either in printed form or off the trusty www and study a lot of things. Then you have to survey for what parts are available in the market and what you can afford. Only then you can think of planning such an undertaking.

I hope I did not scare you or dampen your enthusiasm but you have to exercise caution. A lot of restos are started with gusto and then abandoned midway for lack of knowledge/expertise/spares etc.

Im sorry I was unable to respond to your SMS. I havent been able to contact the owner. I guess the number I forwarded to you does belong to the actual owner. Hope you called him and had a chat. Pics of the car are already here so you can check it out.

On the Split Bus front please dont do any radical modifications on a split bus. Perhaps a post 68 Baywindow would suffice should such a painful undertaking be too tempting to you or anyone??

I often find myself preaching the philosophy:

''any modification is acceptable to a Classic should it be possible to reverse in a matter of a few minutes or couple of hours using BASIC tools and expertise''

And as Buksh has requested, please do post pics of the split bus engine rebuild and any resto pics you might have.

I have a Renault 5 and a few years back when I was rebuilding its engine I came to know that the Pistons are similar to Morris.
Try Perfect Motores at plaza he would be able to dig out some stuff for you but he would ask for samples.

Lemme know the piston size I might have a set lying with me.

There is a microbus standing somewhere near mohd.ali society ...
Its exactly in front of thebohri masjid opposite shahid brothers alignment place...
Owned by a bohri who uses it as a school van...
Will take pictures next time i go there...
Also spotted a VW beetle was a convertible in rusted condition will also take pics soon...
