just to narrate...Two weekends ago I was driving along Nawaz Sharif Park in Model town ... to get a pickup form a friend... incidentally Omar Legharis cousin and the chap who has taken the 220se off my hands... so that i could transfer some of the furniture and I see a 1961 Chevy Impala parked strategically outside the gate of a house in A block.
I commented to the driver that this was parked for some sucker to walk into a trap.
In the evening I get a call from another friend saying he has bought a car. Till this evening this friend has been the quoted model of civilised male behaviour for my wife and all her friends and the exemplary husband who drives boring modern utility cars. "Look at Khurram" has been the litany for several years... he doesnt do anything stupid such as look at Fiat 500s and Humbers...
My laughter echoed through the whole house....
Lo and behold on his morning walk he goes and buys the first not so decrepit old car he can find... pajero engine and all....Chevy Impala 1961 big wings and all.. Pics up soon.and he paid 500k for it.
