Thanks All. Yes My Datsun 260 C is still running on its original Nissan L26 inline 6 engine. A very refined & reliable engine i must say. I have taken her to many states in india for my tours.

Its a 1956 MGA Mk1 - 1600cc - Twin Carb - Its been in my family for 40 years. We had it fully restored 10 years ago. It took close to 3 years to get the job done since we had to wait for parts to come from England and send old parts to them for reconditioning. Right now I'm having brake and steering problems with the car. Need to work on it when I find the time.

this could be Shezi Naqvi's car restored by Javed Ibrahim many years ago but Shezi bought it in 1987-8 so perhaps this could be some other car....I wonder!

talking of mgs there is an ad in dawn about a 1958 mga the owner thinks he is sitting on a goldmine which usually happens here .

I haven't seen the ad but the only MGA for sale that I know of is Adil's car who 's demanding 1.6 million.

i once called the same gentlemen for a convertible karmann ghia he was selling, either his or someone else's, i am not so sure. 9 or 10 lacs if remember correctly. dreaming.

 Im asking my denter to fabricate a pair of undies in 16 gauge stainless steel. Would offer a bit of protection when I go there.

 According to my reports the fire gutted two lanes completely and one lane partially. Most if not all the shops were having new cars' parts. One of the VW shops is safe, not too sure about the other. The market is closed Ive heard.

Thats a very nice Datsun you have. Very good condition and above all with the original motor.

Karachi had a small population of these Datsuns which were imported by some major Banks for use of their top brass. One was purchased by my Khaloo, probably from an auction. Of course this one, like the majority ended up with a Diesel engine.

My cousin changed the Diesel into a LARGER 6 cylinder Diesel and used to race this monster, terrorising people on the streets of Karachi. It used to smoke brand new diesel Corollas and left folks wondering what overtook them. Have a lot of teenage memories in this beast.
