here is another discovery i think people who are in to 50s american cars like me would love it ,its a beautifull 56 oldsmobile has a chevy eight cylender in it but also has the original super 88 engine some where.

I'm happy to say that the trend is starting to change. Now you see a bunch of young guys with immaculately restored 2CVs.

Last time you asked me about a new 2CV. I'm not sure about that. It's technically possible, but not very likely at this time. PSA isn't really flush with cash at this time, they aren't hiring any new engineers, and they've updated their cars a lot quicker than they wished to. The 306 - 307 -308 transformation was very quick.

Then there's the question of a new Alpine from Renault, which again is not very likely, not at least until Peugeot is the owner of the "Alpine" trademark in the UK. It's for this very reason that you see RenaultSport (or Gordini) being used instead of Alpine for all sporting Renault models.

The car had very low drag, it could could thus accelerate to speeds that were far above its power output. Plus the fact that it was very light, it could accelerate quite well as well. It weighed 625 kgs empty and had (among other specs) 110 BHP from its 1300 cc pushrod I4 engine. Top speed was 215 km/h
