Hi! I sent u an sms two days ago...also tried calling. I had parvez work on the throttle linkage....your t-bird is now a road ripping monster. It feels like a different car altogether. Just drove it around my house to test drive it....will take it for a spin tomorrow.

Thanks so much Mohsin! I told you that all it needed were a few adjustments. If possible can you have the exhaust patched up and tightened?

I'm off to NY tomorrow for 12 days, then back in London on the 30th till the 16th when I'm returning to Khi. Will you be coming here? I'll be coming back to London in July for a week.

pleasure is all mine....I am geting the exhaust fixed today...changed the starter solenoid switch - have exchanged a few mails with Mohammad Waseem who seems very keen to come down to Karachi to check the car out. I have plans to make a trip to London but want to coincide it with the Silverstone Classic which is going to be from 26-29 July.

the Chevy guy is not known to me, he called me with Jim's reference. He wanted 7 lacs earlier and now has come down to 4-5 as per his message pasted above. I told him that he'll be lucky to fetch 150,000 for it. Why don't u call him and make an offer - once u r back.

Mohammad Waseem is the son of Dr.Waseem, who didn't show any interest in the car.

Btw the starter switch was new, so why did it need changing? Don't forget to occasionally but a bit of petrol in it. That 15 litres I put in it won't last forever.

call the guy up and try put some sense into him. 150k is a bargain anything above depends on how bad you want it.

will only drive the t-bird till your 15 litres last... just kidding with petrol almost 70 a litre, I ain't driving it that much. Planning to take Jim out for a drive in that. Waseem didn't fancy it that much because there was no kick in the car....now it has a jackass kick.

yes the Chevy is very much in Karachi. Thats a very nice Oldsmobile that you posted. never seen that car. It looks in prety good nick. Whats the story behind the car.

couldent get thru to the number so i was just wondering.
as for the olds im trying to keep my mouth shut the owner had kept it in wonderfull condition every thing is original except for the engine in the car thats from a 56 chevy v8 but its comes with its own spare super 88 the guy is aking a astronomical price again but i think it would really be worth it even at that price .trying to convince the folks B-day comming up keeping my fingers crossed lol .

The car's condition is good but keep in mind that it's the least desirable of the body types i.e. 4 door saloon so don't end up paying too much for it. There's a 1949 Buick 8 2 door hardtop in Lahore....golden color. Look for it as that's a car to go for.

i also asked two old timers my gunsmith and the guy who im getting honda 50 parts from to keep an eye out for old american cars the honda 50 parts guy told me to wait for a while as he knows of a couple of pre 60 buick chevys and a dodge im going to go to hime tomorrow lets see if i get lucky. as for the olds i know its not one of the most desired bodytyped or for that matter not one of the best looking cars from the time but seriously these beauties deserve better i cross the 55 green belair almost daily and seriously feel bad for it wish i could do some thing.

a friend had sent me some pics of that Buick. The owners had asked my friend for some advise and help with the car. The car was in very good original condition. I ;ll try and get details. This Olds also looks pretty good and should go to a good home....but don't end up with the most expansive Buick in the world.

i wish people here were a bit more rational in there thinking they think they have a gold mine and dont sell the car untill the right pay check comes ther way and when that time comes there is nothing left of the car . look at the graham paige for example what a beauty being wasted .any way i hope i get lucky .
