its the original fuel tank in it's original position....my 500 is due for a body repair and new paint.

It was nice to meet you and your mammu. The car is a sweet project and we hope to see it turn out as a real turner.

Mohsin bhai gave a very nice 'sermon' by the engine side boosting our knowledge tremendously. And I thought that life began and ended on conventional telescopic shock absorbers!

Please post lots of pics of your Moggy in your dedicated thread showing all possible details of the interior, exterior, engine bay, underneath, rear boot etc etc. 

Did you happen to look at the 68 bug I mentioned?? Please let us know if you are interested.

A 1302 (roundish bonnet and flat windshield) or 1303 (roundish bonnet and curved winshield) will cost you a lot more both to purchase and to rebuild. Parts are a bit tricky to find. I sent a steering box Pitmann arm to Lahore for a fellow Pakwheeler some months ago as his 1302 was grounded for the same. Was lucky to find it in Karachi after Isb and Lhr not yielding.

Seen recently a 1302 project rust bucket which wasnt even running and the asking price was 75k.

I do have pics of the same with me but they would not do justice as they were taken in the dark and the car was a bit dusty that day.

One of my friends is after this green Mini. From what he said its an original Cooper. Im not very sure but he is ready to pay the asking price for this car. Would make a nice duo with the New Mini he already has in his stables.

I know this Mini inside out....it's an original Cooper but unfortunately minus its original twin SU's engine and disc brakes which were taken out by the person who restored it. It is still worth buying but the engine and gear needs to be changed, steering is also very vague....needs attention. Neverheless, one of the best Mini's around.

I have nothing against cng but Fiat is as it is excellent vis-a-vis fuel consumption

after spending 15 years in hibernation, It took me over a month to put it back on the road. Mechanically the car is all restored, new pistons, sleeves, main/bigend bearings, valves, shocks, tires, brakes etc. I have just received delivery of suspension and steering parts which will go once the car is ready to go the denter. Lovely litle car, one of my favourite,,,,

I had a mint condition fiat in mind but before i could get my hand on it, it was sold to someone in Lahore. And another still at a workshop but completely ruined with rust and dust.
