The green Mini Cooper was a highly original unspoilt car till a few years ago. The owner was a banker and had been out of Pakistan for many years. He had the car restored at Yaqoob Motors a few years ago and soon after it was sold. I went to take a look at the car as the new owner was keen to get rid of it, but I was shocked to see that the original Cooper twin SU's engine had been swapped by this ordinary Mini engine perhaps of 850cc. Now the car's body is very good, it still has the Cooper's twin fuel tanks at the back but no disc brakes and minus Cooper engine. The asking price was 250,000 two weeks ago. The clutch judders, gears make noise and engine is very unresponsive. So whoever buys this car will need to work on the driveline - I'd say import a Mini 1275 GT engine and gear from UK as the the later model GT's are quite cheap. you may call Ahmed Agha 03219264970 to make a deal.

I have a car at home which is on CNG, a Toyota Vitz....I have absolutely no problems. Infact I am thinking of switching my Corolla Altis to CNG...rather burn my fuel in my classics than these Jap craps.

the car is in perfect condition . the engine has recently been overhauled along with the brakes, suspension and electric work. this car is one of only two austin mini coopers in pakistan of the 60's era. its is an everyday runner . in the pictures you'll notice that the badges are missing , not to worry i have all of them just didnt have time to install them . the asking price is high because of the condition of the car, its history and the international value . if you want to aquire it as an every day car then i can bet its better than any other new car of the same price with an added advantage of being a classic car .at the end the price is negotiable and coming to a mutual price would be best . hope to hear from you . off to the university in it .

no i dont have the original 1275 engine as it is not available in pakistan . or even if it is available it is too darn expensive ..
yes this model is the twin tank one .i know that these are not the original seats ... i got these from shershah due to the comfort factor but i have the original seats with me.

I know the story behind this Mini and Its a very sad story for me... I have a Austin Mini and I bought it from the same owner who had taken out 850 engine from Austin Mini and now the 850 is installed in this cooper... At that time the owner did'nt sell me the cooper and so I bought the Austin Mini which was running on a Mitsubishi engine... Ofcourse I didnt know about the 850 engine before I made the payment... Well recently one of my friend wanted to buy this cooper and the owner agreed to sell it for 200k (he needs the money) and I made an offer of 150k for myself...

OUR DEAR FRIEND / ONE OF THE FOUNDING VCCCP MEMBER KARIM CHHAPRA (KC ON PW) GOT SHOT A FEW DAYS AGO. ALHAMDOLILLAH HE IS FINE AND RECOVERING FAST. THE BULLET WENT THROUGH HIS LEFT KNEE BREAKING THE KNEE CAP FROM 3 PLACES. I AM PRESENTING HIS LEG SO THAT YOU MAY WRITE SOMETHING ON HIS CAST.
