Hello all,
good news on the Oval Beetle pictured a page or two back; its actually a 1964, the retro look oval window AND the engine ventilation grill actually made by Rustum panel beater here in Rwp. The owner Amjad Mawaz told this me last month. Whether the 4 door Type 1 will ever run remains to be seen..
Yes, he has a rusting Ponton hulk parked next to the Beetle. THAT MB is a major project though..

although im not a big fan of vw i would also second buksh any day a factory splitwindow is to much of a gem to waste in pakistan where you dont come across splitwindows often what you can do is when you have done the split window restoration get hold of a vw the single peice windsheild ones and modify that to look like a split window and personaly i think chopping the top would be easyer with that .

Sam they would be the Bay window's. Still i wont not attempt this.
A dream project would be the VWRX. But then again you would have to Sacrifice a STi
