im not a big fan of sports cars but just for the hell of having a jag E-type my opening bid would be 1.5 lac in the condition the car is in right now .

have been reading the post with interest for a few days but something always came up when posting a reply.... juts as well.

I am being drawn into the etype project....Only there are three others going on so dont have any money as it is all tied up.

What I can offer is the The Merc 220se 1962 plus parts which include new headlights and rear lights ( rare as hens teeth) along with trim bits with the chrome window surrounds, rear boot chrome trim, new door mirrors and rubber seals ( original Mercedes and in original packing) as well that set me back 160 k as well. Total package cost to me was in excess of 500k.

Would the owner be interested in this vertical light fintail w111 220se ( fuel injected)1963 in perfect mechanical condition and minor cosmetic work to be done???

Mohsin??? Salman Taseer used to live with us ... upper portion of our house and one of his friends... probably Tariq Saigol used to come by in the white XKe series 2. wanted one since I was knee high...

Just for an update on the projects. The Z is being dented as I write. The floors are done and so is the left side. The right side has been started. One month the denter says...

The Alfa... well one of he previous owners decided to install a corolla K series engine in it and in the process royally buggered the the transverse member... what is called the girder or garderi in local parlance.... Having it recostructed... big job....The only thing is that the stupid man did not gain anything by this conversion... the only reason it was probably done was that he couldnt set the twin webers up right...

E Type Jaguar is one of the most desirable classic sports car today on this planet Earth.

Even Enzo Ferrari once said looking at an E-Type Roadster that "it is the most beautiful car ever made".

Jeremy Clarkson after testing 100 cars rated an E-Type Jaguar as the best car among the top 100.

1.3 lacs, 1.5 lacs - sorry guys! this is a run down Suzuki khyber money. i bought my basket case Triumph Tiger 100 for 100,000 3 years ago. Razi wants a 100,000 for his Fiat 500 which is in 3000 pieces and 500 parts missing - I have offered him 75,000. The run down VW splt beetle with parts missing and non-original engine is for sale. I offered 150,000 which was rudely refused.

This E-Type has every bit original and intact. Engine/wiring/driveline etc. all hooked up. Every switch, meter etc is original and in place. Car rolls on it's own suspension, steering and wire wheels.

I 'll end the suspense here. The car was brought in to Pakistan by Khan of Kalat. After various owners, it was with a gentleman called Fawzi Ali Kazmi a close associate / friend of Mr. Asif Ali Zardari. The w/shop guys tell me that Mr Kazmi sold the house along with the car ( I find it hard to believe knowing his passion for cars and also Asif's. I am going to leave my business card tomorrow at the w/shop with a written offer of 8 lacs - lets see if I get lucky.
