the 58 thunderbird has been scrapped as far as my info goes. For a while it lay in the grounds of Gurmani house on opposite the McDonalds on the G/berg boulevard.
It was lifted from their by Salman... this chap used to be the chief mechanic for redco and then set up his own workshop that failed and has since emigrated to Australia. He tolf me that the cars ( a thunderbird and an impala/ belair ) had been scrapped as there were no papers and they were just cluttering space.
The veracity of the statement was checked by me form Shahid Amin Khwaja ... Gurmanis grandson... who offered the cars to me for free and then reported back the next day saying that the cars had been lifted a year previously. He had not gone into the back lawn of the place for a few years.
Sameed you have scoped the place out have you not??
The Chevy you posted... my dad had exactly the smae colour. Sold it to Ch. Zahoor Elahi.
God knows what treasures lurk in the back lawns in Gulberg.
This is what happens to most of the cars touched by Omar Leghari... yes OL again. Wait for the XK 150 to burn or to rust away.
