Raza Sial is a dear friend and I pretty much know what he has and what he doesn't.......he has a very good collection which includes a 1974 Cadillac Eldorado Converible, the new Beetle, Smart Car, 54 and 56 Chevy, 2 MB 500 SL's etc. What I didn't know was that Talib was his name as well....here is a pic of Raza Sial - can be seen on extreme left in shalwar kameez

there was a late 50's Desoto in Karachi. It has to be somewhere around. Last saw it in a house in PECHS. A 1957-59 Dodge got scraped in Karachi many years ago. A 64 Dodge Dart Convt got scaped a couple of years ago. A 57 Bel Air Station Wagon got scaped some years ago. A '57 Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine has gone missing....what else, hmmmm!!! A 65 Lincoln Continental is lying unloved in Clifon.... A 1959 Oldsmobile is on the verge of coming out of a long hibernation (owned by Avaris), Kazmi, owner of Copper Kettle has moved to Islamabad and I believe has taken his mint 57 Bel Air with him.

yes there might be many more out there just waiting to be discovered . 55,56,57 chevy station wagons are some of the most sought after especially the bel air body versions ,some one needs to find that 57 fleetwood ,who is leaving that lincoln un loved they are one of the most stately american cars from that time . mohsin bhai il send you the list when i done with jotting down the ones i know of and then you can add the ones you know of that would be great. and which red jag? is safeer talking about . it would be great to do a karachi delhi via lahore rally as a warm up and then a karachi beijing rally woud be just great. have you seen a 57 caddy brougham quiet a good looking car.

   BIG EVENT!!! 

  At 9:45pm today (yesterday technically speaking) I got a call from Mohsin bhai. To my surprise he summoned me to his place ASAP!! He just said I had to see 'something of my interest'....

 Drove there in my shorts and chappals and by the time I turned into his street I had a 'gut feeling' of the game......

 Can you guess what was right at the end of Mohsin bhais driveway????

On another note....

Chance to save a 66 Beetle from the evil scrappers.....

From what I know so far:

--Complete car
--Documents complete and in order
--Taxes paid uptil 2007
--1300cc running engine
--LPG fitted

I can get the same for a fixed price of 35000 Rs. Will pass it on to anyone who is interested in saving this gem for the same price plus maybe my TA/DA expenses.

Sorry no pics of the car. Have to buy it saying its for my own ownership or the deal would not materialize.
