@mohsin bhai
I will try my best to be at your place afternoon tomorrow. Let me know the time please. I cant promise though as Ive been under the weather for the past couple of days. The running around has done me no good but much thankfully mom is better so no complaints.
I asked Mr Amin-ul-haq whether he could join us but unfortuantely he has a class at 3pm Saturday.
I wanted to do a longish write up on the resurrection project but would only put a summary here:
-Im a bit double minded for firing up the motor as I fear there is crap inside the intake manifold, one of the cylinders (if I rememember right it was missing the spark plug) and the oil.
-Going back to page 319 I see the engine without the carby in place leaving a good opening for all sorts of rubbish to fall in plus a chance for steet urchins to do their bit.
-From the picture it seems the engine oil cover was missing. God knows what feel into the oil. We dont want all sorts of rubbish to be pumped into the oil galleries, scour the surfaces of the moving parts and what not.
-If the oil cover was missing, we must get rid of the old oil, which means we need a gasket kit for the oil sump plate.
-Can you arrange a vacuum cleaner?? Plus some three fourth and half inch rubber hose.....three feet of each.
-I think you have a compressor at your place. Would come in handy.
-Have you arranged a carb??
-What else??? We will see.......
