Please bring both of them to the car show if you can,I think it would be a nice idea to let people see what a car is like When it is dicovered after years of no care and before it is restored.

thanks guys. Asadishaque will vouch for the fact how much I want to have a section of unrestored cars. One e.g. I want to build a small barn with one half garage (length wise), artificial well, some greenery and lot of bhoosa. garage will have my VW split window and jency's Porsche 356, both unrestored standing with their rear sticking out...lets see if we can manage that as I just dont have time on my hand. Last night I spent 4 hours making a new list of classic cars in Pakistan with their owner details....I have reached 300 cars and it is still growing. My truck and caddy will also look great at the show as they are in as bad a condition as one can imagine. I 'll have my spee twin with side car at the show and will try to include a few more....

I really wish our friends in other cities could come and be with us at the show....

 I like the ICU, rehab and CPR terms being used here.......wicked.... now these dont sound soo serious anymore ;)

75K is really a very decent price for a project Caddy. More like a steal. Hope it gets picked up soon preferably by a Karachi based enthusiast.

 One thing I wanted to ask.....are you ready for the 'surgery' planned for the weekend?? I mean are all parts required available with you?? If anything is missing, please let me know. Will try to arrange.

  Yes Mohsin bhai indeed really wants a 'discovered' section at the show. We had a discussion on this subject very recently.

  Can people share ideas on how to make a temporary barn like structure. It must be economical to make and yet be strong enough to hold up to gusts of wind or anything the weather throws at it. We dont want it to collapse on anything, be it a project car!

surgery on saturday, well, let me think....hmmmm!!! hmmmm!!! OK - second half Saturday. I 'll keep th eops theatre ready....petrol can, battery cables, plugs, 10 feet wire, 2 fully charged batteries, WD 40, plug wires, cork sheet, petrol pipe etc.

I also plan to pick up the truck and the caddy on saturday....u can come along and take pics while I dig parts from the rubble

@Mohsin uncle, I'm making a simple website for the VCCCP where members would be able to post details about cars and all of ti would be sorted and stored in a database. So, your list will come handy to start. I'll upload a running prototype soon...

thanks for offering to upload a VCCCP website. I would request you not to do it at this point in time as we already have an extensive website www.vcccp.com and we are in process of upgrading it where we will have forums such as these to discuss issues. Duplication will not serve the purpose.

On a serious note... I personally prefer Sb. "Sahab" when I'm writing. After I've met the person face to face, and if it's OK with him, I revert to first name basis or "Bhai". That way no one is offended.

Caddy is on its wheels....so sending it is no issue...provided papers dont become a hindrance. Number Plate is there but paper work has to be done. Car is minus engine, w/screen is broken....Once I get the car out then only I would know whats missing and whats not.

Ok email me when you get the car out.Papers are not that big an issue .We can look for a windscreen,and some kind of an engine.I remember there was a similar car in lahore ,black coloured,parked in an old house on Abbot Road in Lahore,near TV station,belonging to Ayub Khan.
I say it many yrs ago in my college days,it was a gift from US President to Ayub Khan.
I hope this is not the same car.
