I didn't expect the Caddy to generate such interest...I was hot on the Chevy truck/pick up but Samad wouldn't sell it sepretaly so Caddy came as excess baggage. There was one pvt message from someone who is really very passionate about this car and offered to buy it immediately. He wanted the car to be stored for him for 5 years till the time he comes back from USA. This car cannot take another 5 years of storage and needs immediate attention......so the car goes to another enthusiast who is known for owning one of the most if not the most historically important car in Pakistan......no names, keep guessing....though now I have made it easier for you all. I decided to let the car go as I was not passionate about this type of Cadillacs. The deal includes a condition that I restore the car for him....a daunting task indeed. Here are a few pics I took this morning after clearing out some junk .... and lizards......yuk!

Lincoln Continental Mk V will come up for sale in a couple of months.....here are a few pics of the golden one which is in pretty decent condition as compared to the silver one which could be a parts car or a project for someone who really wants another Lincoln....The last pic is of a Dodge truck converted to a 6 cyll diesel is also for sale....all parts are stored and will come with the truck.

aww i love that caddy though it has been bangged up a bit more then what i had seen in older pics. mohsin bhai has any movement been started on abolishing the law made by our most glorious govt that dosent allow cars older then 3 year to be imported.

 nah bro its not me...... I dont deserve anything at the moment since I cant cope with what I have on my hands already.

 You are right about the observation that we cannot save them all....... :s ....... The ford was up for sale for Rs 50k, not bad really as it was more or less complete body wise.....dont know if it had an engine or not......the guy was a bit rude so I did not get enough details.

 This Caddy is reminding me of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah's Car....... Lets try to get something done after we are done with the show......

  The green car you posted....Ive seen it. It looks very good in person and the pic does not do it justice. If memory serves me right, its an Alfa.

  Btw who is Kashif??? He does have quite a few examples of rare American iron...... Can we drag him (with his cars) to the show?

  Thanks a bunch for posting the VW Micro pic for me. I am thinking we are not seeing much interest in these post 1968 buses now. Perhaps when they become as rare as the pre 67s, will people wake up. Recently I have seen two very very good examples scrapped at Shershah.

 Thats a sweet 62 bug. It looks quite original even down to the color, factory shade for the 62 year (Seafoam green) or something pretty close.

 I cant see any Porsche accesories at first glance. Who knows what lies hidden underneath??? 

 The rear decklid and licence plate light are correct for the car. This decklid and light housing setup was seen from 1958 to the ending months of 1963.

Strictly speaking a Pope's nose licence housing and light was different. It was on the early beetles till surpassed by a somewhat similar design (to the pictured one) introduced in 1953. Nowadays quite a few people call this later unit a Pope's nose, even articles in VW mags refer to them as such. I however dont agree to this.

Lets wait till Mohsin bhai has all the Split Bug bits, then we will see what a real Pope's nose looks like!

ring side tickets granted I might pick them today or tomorrow. Kashif is a dear friend and might bring a car or two. The SS and the red Impala are not running. he says he 'll bring a '68 Comaro Convt. and a 68 Firebird.
